3...2 days til Christmas!!! It's coming fast!

Yesterday night we had our nieces and nephew over to watch "A Muppets Christmas Carol" and decorate sugar cookies, it was lots of fun(I think they'd agree!!) We also watched Dr. Seuss's "How the Grinch Stole Christmas", Frosty, and Frosty Returns!! It was a very fun night!! Elizabeth was in another part of the Christmas outfit set my mom bought for her. It's a onesie with little poinsettias up front and center, with footed red pants, it does come with a little jacket too, but she didn't need it as it was plenty warm inside!
This morning I had the amazing opportunity to deliver our wards sub for santa stuff with two of the other sisters in the presidency, to 3 very deserving families, it was such a heart warming experience!! It really put me in the holiday spirit, and made me so very grateful for all we have! It's not alot, but it's enough!! My friend Kim was so kind as to come down and watch Elizabeth while I was out, then we had a nice visit, and had fun playing with Liz and the train that goes around our tree!! Tonight we went out and delivered cookies and fudge to our neighbors, we even caught all but two home!! We had really great visits with them, it was really nice! Today Elizabeth fashioned an outfit that she actually has worn before at my(Anni) family Christmas party, but it's the cutest outfit! very girly!!
I can't believe tomorrow is Christmas Eve!!!! :D
I got a picture of Liz staring at herself in the mirror on her baby gym, and pushing up really good on her tummy!! She's getting so big and strong, and cuter than ever!!

5...4 Days til Christmas!!

So Yesterday was SUPER crazy!!! We had two family parties one for my side, and the Johnston family party. The first we survived, and had good food at Sizzlers, the second was lots of fun! We got to see our nephews play their new instruments, one on the piano one on the trumpet! They did soooo good!! We had yummy soups, and rolls, then we exchanged gifts, it's was crazy to see all the nieces and nephews go at their presents!! We got some cute ornaments, and Tony's parents got us nice TV trays, and a small closet/cabinet thing from Ikea to put my craft/scrapbooking stuff in, so very needed!! I didn't get any really good pics of Elizabeth in her Christmas outfits, yesterday cause she's so popular, she was always in someone's arms, but she had a very cute onsie that said "Good things come in small packages" and she's a very good thing in a very small package!! Today she was in her CHristmas dress for a short time. She blew out in Relief Society(after I fulfilled my responsibilities thank goodness!!) So I never actually got a picture of her in it, but I'll just sub a picture I took of her in it for the Christmas card ;) We went up to Bountiful after church today, and my brother and parents and us put a wreath on my big sister Linda Kay's grave. The cemetery was all covered in snow, but I went straight to hers(I've spent some time there when I was younger) Then we went to Temple Square and looked at the lights, Elizabeth slept the entire time!! She'll be more fun next year ;) But we really enjoyed it. I love the Nativity!! It really puts me in the Christmas spirit!! We came home, and watched "How the Grinch Stole Christmas", and the new(er) "Miracle on 34th Street". What a great weekend!!!

6 Days and Counting!

So there's six more days til the big day, and this is Elizabeth's 2nd Christmas outfit, my mom bought it for her, it's super cute, and Tony's sister Ketty made the headband, thanks Ket it works great!! Enjoy the cute pics!! She made a lot of good(and one crusty) faces!

An outfit a day til Christmas!!

So between my mom, and us buying super cute Christmas outfits, Elizabeth has enough to do one a day the week til Christmas! Crazy I know, but I thought I'd have some fun with it! I had full intentions to get this posted yesterday but I didn't so, oh well, Here's yesterday's outfit, it's pink so it doesn't look very Chritmasy, but it has a little reindeer decal on it, and underneath it says "dear". I got some super cute pics of her I just thought I'd share with you, so enjoy!

She also held and kinda shook her rattle yesterday!! I put it in her hand of course, but she did the rest! And she can sleep in any position!! It's nuts how she gets comfortable like that!!

3 months and more!

So life's been just crazy lately so I didn't get to post Friday, which was when Elizabeth turned 3 months old, but before I even get to that, in the last post I failed to mention a very fun thing Tony and I did. Last tue(almost a week ago) Tony's company had their Christmas party! We went to Hale Center Theater and saw A Christmas Carol, it was incredible!!! I've never been to Hale Center before, and I was very impressed, they did such a great job! We both really enjoyed it, afterward we were going to go to The Cheesecake Factory, but the wait was too long, so we ended up at Olive Garden(no complaints from me, that's my favorite place!!) and since it was on CECO I treated myself to the Tour of Italy, and pie!! It was really good food of course, and we had a great time visiting! Ok on to Friday: I met up with my mom in Bountiful at noon, and we went to Whimpole Street(about 4 times a year they open to the public and have a sale) I got a very nice holiday table runner and holiday dish towel, thanks mom! Then we went to Village Inn for lunch and chatted, and fed Elizabeth, then we looked in K-mart real fast, then I was on my way home again, I met up the Taunja(the Relief Society Pres.) and we went to visit a sister in the ward that had just had a baby, but they weren't home so we came back to our place, and worked on the circle(the info paper we hand out every week in Relief Society), she had way too much fun playing with Elizabeth(her youngest are 11 year old twins). Sat morning we took Elizabeth to JC Penny and got her pictures taken, she is too cute!! Then we headed up to my parents house to prepare for my family's Christmas party which we were in charge of(we had to have it at my parents house though as our little condo is too small). We had a yummy dinner with ham and cheesy potatoes, salad and rolls, with peppermint ice cream on fresh baked brownies and crushed candy canes on top! Then the little ones opened their presents, that was pure crazyness! Then we played "choose a door" for our gift card. The best is my brother Eric got our Ikea one like we were hoping he would, and we got one to Red Lobster, Tony was thrilled to bits!! The best part was, my grandparents got a purple plush doll for Elizabeth and she loved it! I know what your thinking she's 3 months old she doesn't really care, and for the most part she didn't, but she truly LOVED this doll!! All in all it was a really good weekend. Enjoy the pics!

New responsibilities

So last Saturday we were very nearly ready to head out to go to the Festival of Trees with my parents, when the phone rang, Tony answered it, and it was Bro. Lake from our bishopric, saying the the Bishop would like to meet with me. I was immediately nervous, but could have never prepared myself for the calling I was about to receive. He asked me to be the Relief Society Secretary, I accepted thinking it was the president and the two counselors that do most of the work right?! WRONG!! I'd so much rather be over homemaking or education!! I'm expected to know just about everything that's going on in the ward, but I don't even know most of the ward, I'm horrible with names, and especially putting them with faces!! I'm basically in charge of just about everything the president is just after her! She decides how she wants things done and I do them! I'm also in charge of the budget with her(which is wonderful this time of year!)I trust in the Lord and am sure He knows what he's doing, but I must admit I'm a bit overwhelmed with it all right now, I went from doing absolutely nothing in the ward to assisting in running the relief society!! But anyway on to more fun things, we went to the Festival of Trees and realized we really like doing a tree just so that we can come on the special night, it's not nearly as crowded! But there were lots of fun trees, and we all got a yummy treat, then we went to Joe's Crab Shack for lunch! It was lots of fun! My parents and Tony and I were planning on doing a Canada tree this year, but Elizabeth took priority, so we're going to work on it this coming year for next year! Well I can't think of anything else, and I'll be posting tomorrow, as Elizabeth will be three months old!!

Long time, lots to catch up!

So it's been quite a while since our last post, so you're expecting a long post, but we'll just have to see, I"m not exactly in a long post mood. I'll try and catch y'all up the best I can. Nov 12 Elizabeth was 2 months old, and had her wellness check up, she weighed in at 10 pounds!!! I was sooo happy she was growing well! She's 21 inches long(she's grown a whole 2 inches!!) she's still in the lowest quarter of the percentile for everything in her age group, but then so was I my whole life! Tony and I discussed our concern about her reflux and spitting up all the time, with the pediatrician, she suggested we try putting her on a hypoallergenic milk and lactose free formula, thinking she may be allergic to milk protein(which isn't so unlikely since I was as a baby) Unfortunately this formula is the most expensive formula out there!! She got her immunizations, which she did really well with, she only cried for a couple minutes then sucking on her bink she was fine! I was very impressed! That Sunday my friend Steph took our pictures for our Christmas card, we were going to do it at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building but it's closed on Sunday(which we should've known, but oh well) so we ended up doing them at the Conference Center. Elizabeth was horrible!! She screamed almost the entire time...bloody murder!! But Steph being the awesome photographer that she is, got some good ones we could use. Last Saturday, we got pictures done at Inkleys with my parents and brother(as we haven't had a family picture done, since like 2003 or 2004, I honestly don't even remember!) Elizabeth did a bit better. After we went to lunch at The new Texas Road House in Bountiful, then Tony and I came home and cleaned up our downstairs, as a couple of my friends from high school, Orion and Makell, and their little boy Brickton were coming over that evening to watch the sad BYU vs U of U game. Even though BYU lost we still had a good time, and nice visit. Now to Thanksgiving, my favorite holiday of the year! I was with Tony's family this year, and the food was really really good!! Especially the rolls, I had like four of them! Elizabeth showed off her adorable smile, and talking voice to everyone, she's getting so big so fast!! Tony's sister and her husband brought their new addition...a very cute pug puppy named Vinny!! Then we went up to my parents, and mapped out our plan for black friday, which was a pretty good success! My biggest downfall was Carter's, the entire store was %50 off!! But in the end I came home with money still in my wallet so it was a success! AND...as of yesterday I am all done Christmas shopping for my family and Tony!! we just have one more present to buy in Tony's family but I think we did good this year!! Well I think that pretty much catches you up!! Here's some photos just because if I don't post them I'll get in trouble!
