Pictures

So I'm finally posting the pictures we got done on Elizabeth's birthday, first we got some of her in her adorable birthday dress, my(anni) mom made, then we got some family pictures taken, she smiled pretty good for her birthday pics, but we were hard pressed to get a smile out of her for family pictures, she was just not so sure about the gal taking the pictures, of course the gal didn't really try to get her to smile either but I think they turned out pretty good anyway.

Random thoughts

Where to begin...well last Saturday Tony finally got to detail the Focus while helping one of his friends detail his car, meanwhile I was being ripped from my comfort zone doing visiting teaching interviews. I must admit it was difficult for me to sit across much better women than I and ask them questions about things I'm not so great at myself, this calling is definitely pulling everything out of me!! I even had a couple issues come up that I was asked to work out, I feel so unqualified for this work, but I know(because our president reminds me constantly) that I was called of God, and it is part of his plan to mold me into the woman He wants and knows I can be. Here's hoping I'm not a let down! Tony got the Focus looking better than new, and it's always nice when he finds time to do things he enjoys!

Now I just thought I'd share some funny things I've noticed Elizabeth does, like for instance, If you have a "flip" cell phone and you give it to her closed she immediately hands it back to you to open, then plays with it for a bit, closes it and hands it to you to once again open. Also she has a bracelet that she hands to you (after a lot of wrong guesses I finally figured out) she want you to put it on her arm, as high up as you can get it, then she works on getting it off, once it's off she hands it to you again, and on and on it goes. And just recently she started finding her shoes and trying to put them on her feet, she doesn't of course but it's so cute to see her try! Oh and she now thinks just about everything is a phone, I took her temp yesterday(and she was a bit warm) after she took the thermometer and put it against her face like it was a phone! She's done the same thing with pens, and her comb, it's so cute! She's also learned that a doll should be in her stroller, so whenever she sees a doll or her stroller she makes sure there's a doll in it! She's getting so big and smarter by the day, she is so much fun to watch! I love her so very much, and am so very grateful for her and Tony in my life!!
Sorry there are no pics Elizabeth is having a freak out moment so I don't have time to attach any.

One year check-up

So yesterday we took Elizabeth to her one year check up, when we went to sign in they informed us that her appointment was actually the 15th(my bad) but luckily they were able to get us in with another dr anyway. He gave us the go ahead to give her milk and wasn't too worried as she'd shown more of an intolerance to the milk protein at such a young age he was confident her older digestive system would be able to handle the protein. Great news for us!! Here are her stats: Length 30 inches(70th %); weight 19.5 pounds(20th %; head cir. small 12th percentile. I was surprised by her height mostly, and I really thought she was at least 20 pounds, but close enough I guess. Her tiny head is no surprise as she still wears newborn caps camping!
She drank a whole sippy of milk yesterday and hasn't had any kind of reaction!! We also got her yogurt to try and goldfish crackers, and string cheese which she loved! Feeding her is so much easier without having to worry about if there's milk in it! so that's our good news for the month!! And it's always good to know Elizabeth is a healthy, happy girl!

Our Little Butterfly is One Years Old!!!

Saturday our little Elizabeth turned one, we can't believe it!! It was quite the day too! We started it by getting pictures of her in her adorable birthday dress my(anni's)mom made, then we did family pictures, she wasn't too sure about it, we did get some good smiles out of her when it was just her put were hard pressed to get a smile out of her for family pictures, but they turned out pretty good anyway. Then the pictures of me and Elizabeth didn't turn out cause one or the other of us had our eyes closed, or weren't looking, so they snapped a couple more real fast. Well those last couple got put on the shoot after us and they spent a good half hour on the phone with there IT trying to get it sorted out. Needless to say we spend much longer at JC penny then we had anticipated. After that we went down to L-3's open house(my mom works there) and had a quick lunch. Then we came home and put Elizabeth down for a nap, and we watched the BYU game while we put together the stuff we needed for little girls party. We rented the clubhouse as we knew we wouldn't be able to fit everyone in our little condo, we decorated it all up, and though we didn't really get any pictures of just the decor it was very cute if I do say so myself! Elizabeth did really well opening all her presents with mom's help of course, she got really excited with all her new fun stuff!! And she even enjoyed ripping the wrapping paper, and pulling the tissue paper out of bags, though she got bored of it pretty fast, she did like pulling the toys out of the bags! Then we stripped her down to her diaper and gave her her own special milk free cake thanks so very much to Tony's dad for the cakes. She wasn't totally sure at first but once she got a taste she LOVED it!! It got all over her cute little face, but not really on the floor I was very impressed! Tony's mom help me make a cute 1st birthday girl onsie to wear for the party, sad thing is it was one of her 6 month white onsies! Oh and Ketty made Elizabeth the cutest matching bows!! Thanks to everyone who was such a big help in making her special day the best! All in all it was a great party, and I think Elizabeth had a wonderful birthday!

Anni's early 25th birthday pool bash

Last Friday my mom came down to take me birthday shopping, Tony's parent's graciously took Elizabeth for me. My mom and I started at Ross looking for a dress cause I really need one, we didn't find a dress as they are harder harder to find all the time, but I did find a really cute black embroidered skirt! Then we went to Shoe Carnival in Jordan Landing, I was looking for some closed toed shoes for the colder months when I sadly have to put the flip flops away, but I wanted something that wasn't a sneaker but still had traction, and I found it! It's a super cute shoe, that's basically a doc martin knock off for a quarter of the price, and they had a buy one get one half off sale, so I was also able to get a super cute church shoe too!! Then my mom took me to Famous Dave's for lunch. YUMMY!!! It was a great, thanks so much mom!! On Saturday we had a family reunion in the morning, where Elizabeth got to see a couple little girls about her size standing and walking and it's really encouraged her!! Yesterday she took 3-4 steps all by herself!! And she's standing independently a lot more now!! Saturday afternoon we had Tony's family over to our condo pool and had TONS of fun with them my family trickled in as dinner got closer. We had a simple BBQ for dinner then sang to me and had cake and ice cream. It was a really good time! We decided that since Elizabeth's birthday is a week after mine plus the fact that we'll be up at the Spruces camping on my actual birthday that we'd do mine early this year, and it was a blast!!

Yesterday my good friend Kim and I went to Gardner Village, and had so much fun looking through the little shops there, Elizabeth ended up with a little rubber ducky with a purple tiara, and wand, I got myself a yummy Utah Truffle bar, and in one of the last stores we went in I even found a super cute flower bouquet half off, I'm going to take to Elizabeth's 1st birthday photo shoot. Then we stopped by the little petting zoo they have going on, and Elizabeth absolutely LOVED it!! She had so much fun touching(more like hitting) all the animals, she loved that she could go right up to them. There was even this one goat, Rosie that followed us through the whole thing, it wouldn't leave us it was kinda creepy, but we still had lots of fun. After that we got some dinner at Archibalds restaurant. It was really a great time, and Kim got TONS of cute pics of Elizabeth!! What a fabulous day!!
Sorry but Kim took so many cute pics and Elizabeth was being so fun so there's lot of pictures!
