Busy Busy Busy!!!

So it's been a while since the last post, mostly cause a lot has been going on. Tony finished up his 6 week classes about a week ago(and passed them!!!!) No sooner, did he have to pack his bags, and he was off to Kansas City(Missouri) for a training conference thingy, he left Tue evening(the 24th) and came home Thurs evening(the 26th). I spent that time at my parents house in clearfield. It was nice cause my mom was able to get off early on Wed, and for those of you who don't know, I wasn't able to find a crib bedding set I liked ANYWHERE!! So I took the picture I had in my mind and my mother tony and I went to the fabric store, and my mom graciously agreed to sew the quilt and crib bumper pads, and whatever else she can with leftover fabric, time and energy, Bless her heart!!! The quilt is done, and way better than I even imagined!! So on Wed we went to the basement and planned out the crib bumper pad, it took some deliberating, but I think it's going to turn out way cute also. While I was at my parents I also got 5 scrapbook pages done!! I'm so behind on that! Anyway I was so glad to have tony home thurs night, I just don't sleep right without him next to me(partially because I use him as a true body pillow right now) Fri this poor boy, who hasn't been in his office since tue, HAD to go golfing for work!;) His boss decided to take the day off, so he told tony to go in his place. So not only did he get to go out of town on business, in the same week he got to go up to park city and spend a day golfing, getting"wined and dined"! (what a hard week!!) then just to add the cherry on top, he won a $170 putter!! I'm no golfer, but even I can tell it's a nice putter, being stuck at home, i found myself watching the U.S. Open(we were talking about it with my grandpa, and watched a little on Father's Day) anyway all I know is it looks a lot like the putter Tiger Woods was using(although I will admit they all look about the same to me!) So overall he got a two day work week, a free game of golf, a free putter, and a nice tan. What a lucky boy. I think i was luckier though, cause Thurs night we picked up our niece Emily who spent the night, and we had so much fun together on Friday while everyone else in her family was gone doing different things. We made Jello, we had a picnic out on the lawn, we had a water fight, and both ended up soaked, then lie out basking in the sun, then came in and watched a movie, and had some of our masterpiece Jello! It was the highlight of my week! She is such a cute girl!! I love her to pieces!
Saturday we had a birthday brunch for my dad, then at 3 my cousin Sarah threw a baby shower for Elizabeth and I at her new cute home in Layton, she's due with her 2nd boy 2 weeks before me! It was so nice to see some old friends of mine from the neighborhood I grew up in Bountiful!! Elizabeth got lots of cute clothes(tony says she officially has more clothes than he does!) Mostly I just loved visiting and catching up with old friends, and girl scout leaders!
I have been asked several times by friends and ward members, how the nursery is coming along...well good but not in the way you think. See we have a 2 bedroom condo, and up til now the 2nd bedroom has been the office/craft/junk/storage room, and we're trying to turn all that into just mostly a nursery. It's not been an easy task especially since tony's been in school and I've been so restricted. It's a pretty big room, and the walk in closet as REALLY big(only a few feet smaller than my bedroom in my old Bountiful house!) Anyway such a big junk room holds lots and lots of junk, so we've slowly been working on cleaning it out, we've had two very big DI runs(and another on the way)and more than a dozen bags of garbage. We've turned our 2nd full bath into a storage closet temporarily, and are seriously downsizing the office to fit in the corner of our master bedroom. Yesterday we managed to empty out the walk in closet, so tony can at least start working in there(he's smoothing out the walls and ceiling and painting, then he's going to design and build a closet organizer) Our nice big L-shaped two person desk is now in my parents basement, they're going to put it to good use till we have a bigger house, we're giving the two white bookcases(that kinda just came with the condo) to Tony's sister, the wooden bookshelf that was in there in now in the master(thankfully that's a really big room too) all that's now left in the someday to be nursery, is tony's old desk I was using for scrapbooking, and boxes, and a few odds and ends. Which is good, since Tony and our brother in law Johnny and my dad are putting in a new window on Saturday. Which will just kick off all the work that needs to be done in that room.(when we bought the condo it was a rental unit, and the renters trashed it and let all their little dogs have free reign over the 2nd bedroom, it smelled sooooooooooo bad when we got it, we've shampooed it more than once, but it's shot.) So we are replacing the carpet upstairs, tony's going to smooth out the walls, put in a ceiling light, cover the cottage cheese ceiling with drywall, put in new baseboards, a new window, oh and the door to the 2nd bedroom is too small so there's an inch or so gap at the top, so he's going to replace all the doors, framing and all, then re-case all the doors, then while we're house sitting for my parents the end of July, he's going to do the two toned paint(since the smell of paint gives me a major headache) then my mom(the wallpaper expert) is going to help us put up the boarder. Then once that's all done we can start putting together the furniture in the room, and hopefully by September it will be a nursery! This pregnancy is going pretty fast because of the fact that as of now she'd be living in a pretty pink bouncer(as that's the only baby thing we have put together, my friend Rose's daughter used it when they came from Idaho to visit) we kinda feel like we're racing the clock now, we pray everyday she doesn't decide to come early. But the nursery at my mom's house is very nearly complete so, I guess that would do if needed ;) All I can say is that it's going to be a CRAZY next couple of months, with never a dull moment! This is definitely the way to make a pregnancy go by fast! No drawn out last trimester for us!!!

Familes are forever

So it's been almost 2 weeks since my wonderful physical therapist put a million restrictions on me and told me to stay down and relax. I think I've done pretty good though I broke down a bit today and did laundry and dishes, which did require some bending, twisting and lifting(none of which I'm technically supposed to do) but I just couldn't help it I was so bored, and Tony is so in over his head with this being his last week of school(he took 6 credit hours in 6 weeks, NUTS!!) In a week he'll be going on a business trip to Kansas City for a few days, so he's got a alot on his plate, and I sit around around all day just straightening things up here and there. I Feel so bad for the poor guy, he's having to run himself ragged, while I'm having to "stay down and take it easy" It's too hard sometimes!! I go to phys therapy on Wed so we'll see if I get busted for it.
On a much happier note. Tony and I had the most wonderful opportunity to go to the South Jordan temple, and be with Ketty(Tony's sister) and her husband Johnny as they went through to receive their endowments, and then be sealed together, and to their two children(Landon;9 and Emily;7) for time and all eternity. It was such an amazing, touching and spiritual experience!! Very emotional too, as they have been working toward this celestial goal for years. I was doing pretty good, until Landon and Emily came in all dressed in white. Then I totally lost it and the tears streamed down, but i wasn't the only one, there were very few dry faces in that sealing room. It is a memory I will always hold very close to my heart. The spirit was so strong in that room, and I know that our Father in Heaven was the happiest of us all! We truly are so incredibly blessed!!

Shopping for men!!!

So, I went to my sub-OB yesterday(because my OB had her 3rd child a few weeks ago and is still on leave). It was probably the quickest visit I've had. I'm finally "close enough" to the weight they want me to be(I lost weight the first three visits, and I never had morning sickness, so they got mad and me and told me I had to eat more) so she was pleased with that. She measured my tummy and said I was still on the smaller side, but it's not concerning, cause at least I got substantially bigger than 4 weeks ago, when she asked me if I really was pregnant, cause she couldn't tell. Then proceeded to tell me she hated me cause she always blew up like a balloon by her 20th week if not before! I told her it wasn't my fault Elizabeth was small(although it really actually is cause tony was a huge baby!) anyway, she was glad to see I was finally showing. She found the heartbeat on the second try again, she always aims too high on my tummy, then remembers we're little and baby is still way below my belly button(which is where she looks first). It was a good strong heartbeat, which makes us both really happy! I have to do my test for gestational diabetes next visit, which I'm not looking forward to cause I absolutely HATE getting my blood drawn!! But as I know it's only going to get worse, so I'm trying to be strong with it.
Today I went out in search of Father's Day gifts. I hate shopping for men!! Not to mention 3 at a time! Don't get me wrong, I have tons of great ideas if my budget were $100+, unfortunately this year especially we're on a really tight budget, as we're coping with living off tony's income alone. So I went to Seagull Book(cause you can always find something for my dad there, he's such a spiritual buff) and looked around, and hit the jackpot!! I saved twice as much as I spent, and dad's are done!! That's my new favorite store! Though I must admit Deseret Book has a much better picture selection. But my mission was accomplished, and my back is absolutely killing me. So I'm being good and resting on the couch, although i should probably be looking over the lesson I'm supposed to teach Sunday, but I'll dedicate tomorrow for that.

Stress Relief

So Wednesday of last week I came home from work and told Anni that i needed to relieve some stress and that i needed to detail the Pilot. I am weird when it comes to relieving stress and like to get my hands dirty with some car wash and some good old wax. She did not care, after all she loves it when I get her car cleaned. I had to take two tests on Saturday for my classes and we worked it out to where I dropped Anni off at her parents so she could visit with them while I was taking my tests. I got done with my tests and the rest of the afternoon was spent cleaning and waxing. It felt good to put some headphones on and just lose track of time. I was able to get the exterior cleaned and looking pretty good. I don't think the Pilot has ever seen a wax job, it has not been done since we bought it.

Here are some of the before pictures, it rained just before i could get it washed.

And a few of the afters

Check out the reflection!

Here is one of my favorite shots, check out that reflection.
When I felt the paint it felt like glass!

Nice and Clean!

Anni loved the results and we both said it looks so much better then the day we bought it! Relieving stress always feels good and I liked the results I was able to get.

Tummy Pic

This is my first tummy picture(by request) I'm 23 weeks along. We haven't done one before this because I didn't really show til like a week ago(in pictures anyway). Elizabeth is kinda on the small side, therefore my placenta hasn't gotten as big as fast as "normal". Me, I'll take a small baby. She may not stay small, but I kinda hope she does. I was a 6 pound something baby, but tony was a 9 pound baby, so I really hope she takes after me, and so far she has. If a wear certain T-shirts you still can't tell I'm pregnant at all! My physical therapist says it a very good thing I'm not real big cause my back would be even more worse off than it already is. Of course my tummy will get bigger but, hopefully my back will be able to handle it if it's not as big as it could be. But only time will tell. In the meantime I'm just taking it easy, trying not to think of all the things I could be cleaning or organizing, or putting away(though sometimes if it's light enough I do it anyway, I'm only human) and "relax" on the couch as the dog has claimed the chair as hers. I have gotten some painting projects to do, I'm saving those for next week, then I may really start catching up with my scrapbooking! So hopefully that's not too straining ;)

Open pool open!

Well I went to physical therapy this morning, and didn't get any of the good news I was hoping for. my pelvis was so out of wack my right leg was a couple inches longer than my left leg(just an fyi because of my scoliosis my left leg is very slightly longer than my right), so for my right leg to be that far out was not so good. She spent 20 min straightening me out, which doesn't feel real great, until all is back where it's supposed to be. She told me I have to stay down more and do less, which for an ADD person is not good news, but once she mentioned eventual hospitalization if i don't, or worse pre-mature birth, or even loosing Elizabeth, I decided I'd find a way. I'm never slow to put myself at risk, by not following dr's directions to the tee, but I'm so not about to put our baby at risk, so though I hate it I'm trying to relax a lot more. All I can say is I can't wait for our pool to open!!
So I was looking at the ultra sound pictures Tony posted(thanks love) and I've decided that they should not take up career in the photo industry, cause I would not have paid for a couple of those pics, the face and head shots make her look like something out a horror film! I mean it's nice to know her skull is all there but yikes! Not exactly a pretty smile picture, but I'm sure she'll be adorable when she makes her debut. It's so awesome to finally be feeling her more often. The last few weeks I felt her once or sometimes twice a day, this week I've felt her soooo much!! It's crazy! There really is something growing inside of me!! There's nothing like feeling her doing step aerobics on my bladder(though I wish she wouldn't) I don't see it on the outside much cause I have a tummy lifter as part of my back brace, to relieve some of the weight on my lower back, but I have seen my tummy pop up when she kicks, when I'm lying down in bed at night. It's really starting to sink in. I'm so excited!

Linda Elizabeth Ultrasound Pictures

Well Anni will be happy that I finally was able to get the ultrasound pictures scanned into the computer and put on here. Enjoy!

Here is the very first picture. It was done on the first visit, they could not get the heartbeat so the doctor wanted to make sure everything was ok. This was Anni's proof that we were not having twins!

Here is another that was taken on March 24 to get her size and measurements.

Here is a picture of her face that was taken on May 5, 2008 when we went to find out what we were having.

Here is a side shot, taken May , 2008

It's a GIRL!!! Taken May 5, 2008

Hope you enjoyed them.
