18/19 month professional pictures

So These are the best pictures ever!! I cannot thank Sarah Hatch enough for the absolutely amazing job she did taking Elizabeth's pictures! Elizabeth was her typical trying self, she paraded us all over, refused to be posed(not that she ended up needing to be anyway she did a pretty god job by herself!)it was all we could do to get her to look and my goodness smile at the camera!! I really only thought Lizabeth smiled a couple times but the pictures make it look like she was totally cheerful the whole time which was definitely not the case, we did everything and I mean everything, from clapping to sneezing, to peek-a-boo, to singing to dancing to silly faces to stuffed animals, to bubbles to get Lizabeth's attention, I'm truly shocked she got the great pictures she did! Talk about talent!!

Great pictures even better price, only $40 for a picture cd! We are so impressed we're going to have her do our family pictures in June.
Check her out!!

Patience

Patience is something I've been blessed with an abundance of(in my adult life at least...lest my mother die of laughter) I love working with children which within itself requires immense patience, my own little one alone takes more patience than I ever thought I had, but I dig deep and always find more patience when I need it. I have a learning disorder that requires tons of patience with myself, but I seem to have managed even without medication for the last few years, it hasn't by any means been easy but I've done it. In January of 2009 I gave a talk as the new Relief Society Secretary on something I felt I needed improvement and that was faith and trust in my Heavenly Father's plan for me and my family. Since that talk...I endured months of endless severe sickness. Elizabeth was sick the entire month of march and ended up hospitalized for a week struggling for air and very high fevers. April Tony was laid-off. May Elizabeth started developing a twitch that in June was often enough that it sent us to the ER and through July it was looked at by a few different doctors and had a few different tests done to determine it was simply an unexplainable twitch. September we started dealing with what we thought was lazy eye. November I miscarried. December Elizabeth got glasses, and we were told that she didn't actually have lazy eye that it wasn't the muscles it was neurological. March she had eye surgery. Now we wait on what her birthmark has in store for us(though I hope and pray everyday for once it's just nothing!) And through it all I've maintained my patience with myself and my Father in Heaven and His plan for me. But in one thing I started slipping. As June is now only one month away and we plan family pictures that I was planning on doing with my new family of four the reality is hitting me hard, that picture of four won't be happening anytime soon. I told myself when I miscarried back in November that I would be fine, it wasn't so much the miscarriage I find hard to deal with it's more the fact that there will be no baby coming in a few weeks, I told myself something I thought was safe to say...that I would be fine come June because I would be pregnant again...safely beyond 12 weeks pregnant by then. Well here it is days away from May and that is definitely not going to be the case, the best I can hope for is to be pregnant at all by the time our new baby was to arrive. It's literally physically painful to see pregnant women especially ones as far along as I would be. To hear of babies even being due in June. I want another baby so badly it does hurt immensely sometimes.
And then as I listened to President Uchtdorf's talk "Continue in Patience" I realized I had broken my promise to my Father in Heaven, and myself. And worse I hadn't even realized it. The adversary is so sly and so cunning he'd slipped right in and I wasn't any the wiser. My first instinct was of course to tell myself I'd failed and be all dramatic(ok maybe Lizabeth does get it from me) and that I wasn't worthy, or good enough and yada yada, but you know what they say fool me once shame on you fool me twice...so I stopped the thought process immediately. My Heavenly Father would never have me feel this way! He loves me!! He knows what's best for me and even my small still family of three! He has sent us the most beautiful baby girl who is ever growing into an amazing little girl, and I love her so very deeply! She is such a HUGE blessing that I should never take for granted. I have an absolutely wonderful husband who I'm blessed to be sealed to for time and all eternity. Whom I also love with everything I have and he in return loves me the same, which I also should never take for granted! It was my plan and mine alone that we should have another baby in 2010...obviously not my Heavenly Father's. I pray to Him everyday for another baby...when the time is right. I let him know that I was ready months ago so I'm just waiting on Him. Not so. He is as always waiting on me. I would never claim to know better than my Father in Heaven yet that's pretty much what I was doing. I lost patience and with it my hope and faith in His eternal plan for me. Thank goodness for repentance! And being able to start anew! I told Tony not too long ago I didn't think I could handle June not being pregnant but maybe I need to...just as I needed to endure months of sickness, seeing my precious daughter in the hospital, hearing our main source of income was no more, or that I was indeed going to loose a pregnancy I wanted so badly. If you'd have asked me a year and a half ago if I could handle all that and more in such a short time I'd have laughed in your face and screamed NO WAY!! But I did and I am only the stronger and better for it. And for this I will be too. I need these tests and trials to become better because I learn so much from each one, from this one I learned unconditional continual patience, which is just one of the many things I need to master to reach my mortal goal of becoming more like my Father in Heaven. I've said it before and I truly do believe He is molding me into the women He needs me to be and that I too need and can be if I just let trust in and follow Him.
If you didn't hear President Uchtdorf's talk please listen to it, I truly believe there is a message for all of us in it, there most definitely was for me!
(if you made it all the way to the end thanks for listening to me ramble I feel better :)

Fun two weekends

So this is going to be knda brief as I hear Elizabeth playing in her room already, I just thought I'd let you know about a couple of the fun weekends we've had.
To Start off two weekends ago on Saturday we got Elizabeth's pictures taken on the grounds of Temple Square with all the green grass and beautiful flowers, we've haven't seen them yet but I know they turned out really good! Afterward we went down to Gardner Village and visited the petting zoo they have going and boy did Elizabeth just have so so soooo much fun!! She had to pet every single animal at least twice and we ended up having to drag her away, she LOVES animals so much!

Then this last weekend we went up to Antelope Island with my parents on Friday and stayed through Sunday, Friday Elizabeth played in the motorhome which was great fun within itself! Then Saturday we visited the Farm there and before dinner Tony Elizabeth and I went down to the water originally to play in the sand but then the water called to us and boy did Liz and I have such fun in the water! It was a really fun weekend, as you'll see from the pictures!

Tony's Birthday!!!!

Tuesday was Tony's 27th birthday and I convinced him to take it off well me and SLCC's career fair! ;) He went to that in the morning because L3 Communications was supposed to be there and he'd love to get a job there as that's where my mom works and so we know the nice perks it comes with(like 3 weeks vacation the day you start and good health care and retirement and such) but alas when he got there L3 was nowhere to be found, but he talked with another company that was interested in him so we'll see where that goes. Then he came home and Liz and I finished getting ready then we headed out to the Children's Museum as we had coupons Tony is such a great dad to spend his special day enjoying seeing his daughter oh so very happy! And that she was!! I don't think she's ever had such a good time! We couldn't get her to stop for a second as you'll see in the pictures she was just having a ball!! She loved pretty much everything and we had such a good time!

Afterward we let Tony choose where to have lunch as is was after all his birthday, and he chose to go to a Mexican place(mostly probably because we don't have Mexican much) I can't recall the name of the place but he got real good Mexican food so he was a happy boy! Elizabeth liked the tortilla but that was about it and they even had a burger for me! Then we went to Iceberg for shakes and as we were sitting in the drive thru looking at the menu I noticed that you got a free shake on your birthday!! So Tony's was free, so I got a more expensive one naturally ;) we then went home and put Liz down for a nap, then later that evening we were wondering what to do, I wanted to do something fun for Tony so I suggested that we go to Nicklecade since the last time we went we had a blast, and with his SLCC ID he gets in free so we loaded up and went and when we got there the poor girl working the register had been in a car accident and was worried about her car(she seemed fine) so she really didn't want to be there so she kindly let me in free also! And she gave us two free admission passes as well!!! And we did indeed have tons of fun! Elizabeth's favorite for sure was the carousel, she had a big old smile on her face! I got some serious tickets from the "nickel pusher" wheel of fortune game, as did Tony from that and other games...Elizabeth even did her part finding random left tickets she ended up with like 20 tickets herself! We cashed them in for some fun little toys for little girl then went over to Subway for dinner then met Tony's parents back at our house where they gave him his gift of BYU car magnets and a quarter sheet baking pan. We had a nice visit with them then we ate our sandwich and then I gave him Liz and my gift to him which was simply what he asked for a Joseph Smith book on CD to listen to in his car, and of course our love and devotion as well!
Here are the pics from the Childrens Museum(there are alot Liz had tons of fun!!)
She insisted on wearing her "butterfly ears" and I couldn't get them off her until she found the doggie rocking toy! She can be such a stubborn little thing! In her defense she was wearing a butterfly shirt so at least it kinda matched!! :)
