Happy Halloween!!!

We had SOOOOOOOO much fun on Halloween!  We watched fun Halloween shows and played Halloween games! They got to have a inside picnic lunch while watching a Halloween movie, and while Devin was napping Elizabeth played some fun Halloween games on the ipad.  We picked up Tony at the 39th South Trax station and then went to our old neighborhood's Trunk or Treat.  It was so much fun seeing old friends, and they loved seeing and and especially the kids!  Elizabeth did awesome trick or treating, and she always said thank you after, I was so proud of her!!  Devin could not grasp the trick or treating thing, and was really hesitant at first.  Then about 3 cars into it, he looked in his bucket and saw candy in there....looked back and the cars and the light bulb came on!  All he had to do was walk up to people holding a bowl of candy and put his bucket up and they gave them him CANDY!!  He then RAN to the next car and the next car and the next car and that is how Devin came to LOVE trick or treating!  It was hilarious!  After the trunk or treat we went to a couple people we knew in the condo, then went to my grandparents house so they could see the kids' cute costumes and we visited for a while.  We got Happy Meals for the kids on the way home, let them watch "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" as is tradition, then called it a great Halloween!

Playing the ring toss game! They really had a good time with it!!

One of the shows they watched was a Halloween Yo Gabba Gabba.

Playing the bean bag toss game, also lots of fun!

Pin the wart on the witch!

Decorating the pumpkins we grew in the garden!

Halloween Mini Golf!  They played once through with the clubs, then decided it was much easier to just roll the ball under.  The main thing was that they had a blast!!

Bobbing for apples!  Elizabeth did really good!  One of them had a small toy, sticker and two tootsie rolls in it, the other two just had marbles.

The Trunk or Treat!

At Great Grandma and Grandpa Walkers!

Johnston Halloween Party and More!

Last Sunday evening was the Johnston family Halloween Party, which was a lot of fun!  Elizabeth just LOVES playing with her cousins, and Devin enjoys playing by himself in Tony's parents' master bedroom, sitting room!  We had a delicious taco bar dinner, then had a lot of good visiting time.  Richard got pictures of the kids in their costumes and that was pretty much it.  Devin did warm up quite a bit near the end and really enjoyed telling everyone that he was Mike the Knight!

Monday morning Devin had OT in Bountiful and it went very well, she's making a lot of good progress with him.  The rest of the day was a typical school day.  Tuesday Devin didn't have Music Group as the teacher was out of town for a conference, so we actually had an uninterrupted school day!(that doesn't happen very often!!) That night I left Devin with my dad as he was still sounding sick(coughing and stuffed up) while I took Elizabeth to piano.  Wednesday Devin was supposed to have his hearing re-evaluated but he and I were both sick, in fact I woke up with almost no voice, so Tony called and cancelled for me.  I still managed to get a full school day in with Elizabeth, but didn't do anything with Devin...not that he minded at all...he got to learn on the kindle!  Thursday was of course Halloween, I'll do a separate post for that! Friday morning I dropped the kids off at Bravo's daycare(they were so excited to go!) then I drove over to Target and wandered picking up some clearance Halloween stuff, some cute shirts for the kids, some fun Fall/Thanksgiving stuff that was half off AND in the dollar section!  Oh and I found Elizabeth's Christmas dress....which is absolutely GORGEOUS!!! It's perfect! And was only $20 too!  Then I came home and took it easy for a couple hours before picking them up.  They were both reported as doing great!  Elizabeth even got special things for being so good!  And Devin was reported as playing a little with one of the other kids!!  Success!  We came home and just kinda took it easy the rest of the day.  Oh Elizabeth was quick to inform me that October was over and that it's now November and that means Thanksgiving is coming up!  So she really wanted to watch a Thanksgiving movie to kick off November, so I let the kids watch A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving and Pilgrim movie(as it's pretty much the only one we have).  Saturday Tony watched the kids while he detailed his brother Matt's SUV.  My mom and I went to a couple craft stores getting some things we needed for our Festival of Trees "prep day".  About one My Aunt Ellen and cousin Mary, and brother and sister in law came to help make ornament for our Autism tree.  It was a great time and we got A LOT done! This tree may come together yet!!  That night my parents watched Daniel while Eric and Jen went to a movie, and they ordered pizza for us and them.  Today we got the Halloween decor taken down and put up the Thanksgiving stuff!
