Lava Hot Springs
Tony and I got the change to get away just the two of us last weekend! Tony's never been to Lava Hot Springs in the winter, and I haven't been since I was a kid, so we decided to turn it into a get away. We dropped Elizabeth and her lots of stuff off at my parents house Saturday morning, then headed up to Logan where we hit up Gossners, the DI and Pepperage Farm outlet, then we continued on our way to Lava, we got there about 2:30 and lucky for us they let us check in a half hour early as our room was ready, so we brought everything in and immediately hit up the wonderfully amazing hot springs! We spent a good hour in the hottest ones they have, then went to dinner, then it was back into the hot springs where we met a nice couple to visited with. Then when we were boiling over we went to our room, and played skip Bo and Phase Ten with two decks of cards we bought at Shawns market in Lava(as we forgot to pack anything to do) it works remarkably well! Then we tuned in for the night. The next morning we awoke and went down to the free breakfast(which left much to be desired) then went back out to the hot springs for one last soak, then we wandered up and down main street, then stopped for lunch, and had to end our much too short weekend get away. We had such a great time just the two of us, and it was long overdue!

Update with pics!
The past weekend..well Saturday anyway we went up to Bountiful as the Focus was making funny noises, so Tony dropped Elizabeth and I off at my grandparents and he took the car to Willey Ford to get checked out, except of course they couldn't get to it right away so my grandpa picked him up and brought him back, and my parents helped us out by lending us their pilot til we got our car back. About the time my mom got there it was past Baby Einstein time and Liz was letting me know as loudly as possible so my grandma, mom, Liz and I(the girls) went down to the basement to watch Baby Einstein, and just talk, and my grandpa, dad and Tony(the guys) stayed upstairs and visited. I think my grandma enjoyed "my First Signs" as much as Elizabeth did! But Liz can still sign more;)! She's getting really good at this signing thing! Her favorite right now is "again", but as of now she can also sign, "mommy", "daddy", "ouch", "more", "milk", sometimes "please", and "thank you". But along those same lines she is also a talker! Her favorite word is daddy, but doggie(which sounds real close) is a close 2nd. She can also say mama, no, ya, kitty, bye, uh-oh, and ouch. But more fun is her facial expressions! Which have multiplied greatly since she got her glasses, they're great!
About a week or so ago we bought a more size appropriate desk for our computer in the "office" area of our bedroom, as our old desk was Tony's desk from when he was a kid and not built for a computer, and took up 1/4 of our room. This nice 50 dollar one from Walmart has a place for everything and fits so much better, it makes our room feel so much bigger! But anyway we got the old desk moved out and put this new one together last Saturday, and it so nice! Then after Elizabeth's nap we went to the DI to get rid of the old desk, and then to Shopko to finish using up the gift card we had from my grandma, we found Elizabeth some size 4 sandals for summer but the best part was they were only 3 bucks! They had their Christmas stuff at 90% off so we picks up a couple things for next year. Then we headed over to Burlington's "Baby Depot" to look for a top of stairs gate, so I could work on the computer and Elizabeth could go back and forth between our rooms. And we found a nice one, but it didn't have a price, so we said if it's 40 bucks or under we'll get it, if it's more then we'll look elsewhere. We also found Elizabeth the PERFECT Easter dress! I'm so so soooooooo super excited about it! It's so nice and was only 20 bucks! She's going to wear it for her 18 month pictures in March. So we get to the check out and tell them that the gate doesn't have a price so they scan it and told us it was 35 dollars! YES!!! It turned out to be a little bit of a pain to put in because the screws they give you stripped out easy but Tony just used some other extra screws he has in a can, and it works great!
Well I think that's pretty much it for us, enjoy the pics!

Finally Christmas pictures!
So I forgot to mention in my last post that Elizabeth is off her binky! During the day at least she still uses it to sleep but in a couple months that will end, I was so amazed at how easy it was she took it soooo well! I just simply stopped giving it to her when she woke up! And Her hair is now long enough to put into two real pony tails!! I'm super excited! Well here are the Christmas pictures!
