Bravo Parent's Night And Of Course More!

Okay so going back a week and a half ago to Monday the 4th.  Devin had OT in Bountiful at the oh so early time of 8 am!  And he was cranky!  I of course had to pull both kids from their slumbers so neither one of them was in great spirits, but I definitely learned something that therapy session.....Devin is NOT a morning person! And 8am is BAD time for therapy.  The day before I had gone to Insta Care cause my ear was bothering me and I knew it was infected.....what I didn't know was that it was one of three infections I had going on.  Turns out I had an upper respiratory infection, sinus infection and double ear infections.  The strange thing was I didn't feel all that bad.....yet.  Monday wasn't too terrible either, I was able to do school with Elizabeth and such just fine.  Tuesday I was sounding and feeling a bit worse but still manageable, which was good since that night was Parent Night at Bravo, so each of the kids got to show us what they've been learning.  Tony met me at Bravo, and I snapped some pictures of Devin in his tumbling class through the window, then Tony went into his class to watch him while I went over to Elizabeth's piano class to watch her.  It turns out it's a good thing I got the pictures of Devin that I did because he just wanted to sit with daddy once he was in there.  Elizabeth did AWESOME!  Her teacher told me she almost never has to help her with fingerings and such once she's learned them, and that she's picking it up real quick!  For their December piano recital Elizabeth is going to be playing Jingle Bells and she's already working on memorizing it!  They gave us a sneak peek of the group song Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, it was very cute!  By Wednesday though all my infections had fully hit and I was utterly and completely miserable!  I felt so awful!  I let the kids just play all morning and watch a few shows before and during lunch.  Devin was supposed to have developmental therapy that afternoon but I rescheduled as I was just so sick!  That evening my dad watched the kids while I returned to Insta Care feeling far worse than on Sunday.  Turned out that my ear infections(and most likely other infections) were getting worse despite the antibiotic.  So I was given a prescription for a very strong antibiotic(that seriously upsets your tummy!) and told to try to plow through it.  Thursday I was so glad to be able to drop the kids off at Bravo's daycare to play for a few hours, then I went and wandered Kohl's and K Mart, then went home and rested.  That evening Elizabeth had Parent Night in her tumbling class which Tony joined me in, I got a video of her doing their little routine course....she was in a bit of a silly mood though so she didn't exactly do her best, but we love her anyway! Friday we had another lounge day while I attempted to rest a bit.  That afternoon I dropped Devin off at Mary's to watch him and Elizabeth and I met Tony at The Children's Center for Elizabeth's appointment.  Since several of the issues we've been having with her occur once daddy gets home it was nice to have him there.  The past couple sessions I've been feeling like her doctor isn't the best fit for us, and isn't doing quite what I'd hoped as far as helping us work through some issues we've been having with Elizabeth.  And after Tony sat through an appointment he agreed completely with all my concerns so we're looking into getting her in to see someone up at Primary Children's, hopefully it will be a better fit for our needs.  Saturday was an incredibly busy day!  Our first stop was at PCMC to pick up the tree stand for our Festival of Tree's tree, while waiting our turn Devin completely threw up his morning's Pediasure all over the street at the loading dock....poor boy!  Luckily when we got to Ketty's house she got him to drink some gatorade and water, so I didn't worry as much about him dehydrating.  At Ketty's we stayed for the beginning of Alicia's baby shower, but had to duck out early as my family was getting together with my dad's dad for lunch at Sizzler's.  I wish I could tell you it was really yummy but I couldn't taste it....stupid sinus infection!!  After that we went to Barnes and Noble to get the kids each a new Thanksgiving book and since we had to take a Little Einstein's book Devin had become attached to back to the library, we told him we'd look for a Little Einstein's book while we were there as well....that however was a no go.  I couldn't believe they didn't have a single one...not one!  So then we went over and wandered the Old Navy as they were having a sale but didn't find anything.  Then we wandered Toys R Us hoping to find a Little Einsteins anything....but no such luck.  We did find clearance little look and find books though!  Then it was over to Target to get darkening curtains for Elizabeth's room and there we found a Little Einstein's firetruck DVD for ten bucks....totally worth it!   Elizabeth got a little Doc McStuffin's set for being so awesome through it all!  Then we headed home and Tony worked in the backyard, taking down the tramp and getting things battened up for winter.  Sunday I was still feeling rotten.  But I sure enjoyed the rest and Tony got a lot done around here which was nice!  I did manage to go through both the kids' rooms and get rid of quite a bit of stuff and organize their rooms completely.  We had a quick visit with our home teachers(I waved instead of shaking hands) ;) We had what I can only assume was a delicious lasagna dinner(I hate not being able to taste things!) and that was this past week!

Tuesday we go a teeny tiny bit of snow...but that didn't hinder Elizabeth's excitement about it!

Devin didn't care at all for the snow, but did have a great time outside playing!

Elizabeth is really getting the hang of this pumping on the swing thing!

The kids having so much fun playing outside!

Devin in his music tumbling class :)

Dancing to "If You're Happy and You Know It!"

Tumbling, they did forward rolls, spin jumps, donkey kicks and bunny hops!

Playing with "the pods"....how many different things can I do with this?!

Elizabeth put her cards in alphabetical order(and was the fastest one to do it!), then she'd close her eyes and I'd take one away and she's tell me which one was missing.  She did it perfectly!

Here is a video of Elizabeth playing the group song.

And here is a video of a very silly Elizabeth doing her tumbling course....the little stinker!(I missed the forward roll but it was perfect!)
