Linda Elizabeth Johnston!

Well after some intense time we can now offically welcome into the world Lind Elizabeth Johnston. Anni had a non stress test on Tuesday where the discovered that her amniotic fluid was low. Lately Elizabeth has been taking alot of time to get her kick counts in. She had an OB appointment right after. Her doctor was assisting with a delivery and was not able to meet with her. She was let go but her doctor called her and let her know she thought it was time to induce her and deliver Elizabeth. She wanted her to come in so they could rippen her cirvix, this needed to be done 12 hours before they would induce her with patosane. So we came to Labor and Delivery Wednesday evening at about 7:15 PM to start. Thursday morning they started Anni on the patosane. We went through the day and she started to have contractons and about 1:30 her doctor came in and checked her cirvix, it was dialated to 2 cm. At about 430 her doctor came in and checked again and she was still at 2cm. Dr Kinghorn was worried about the amount of patosane she was getting, at abou this time she was taking in about 30ml an hour. About 630 the nurse came in and informed us that Dr Kinghorn wanted to see if they could "reset" her uturus and dropped her down to about 12ml of patosane. This went on for a few more hours and there was no major improvment. The thought that maybe when she was having contractions she would tense up. The nurse came in and suggested that we give Anni and epidoral. This was to see if she could relax and as a precaution if a c-section was needed. After the epidoral was given her doctor came in to check her cirvix. She was still at 2cm and her condtions were improving at all. Dr Kinghorn told us she did not know what else we could do to give her the chance to deliever vaganally and suggested maybe it was time to do a C Section as she could not see her condtions were improving. At this point Anni had been in labor for 15 hours and not improving. She was coming up on 36 hours with not eating anything, was tired, hungry and just down right exhausted from it all. We decided that it was best to go with the C section, Anni was nervous about the recovery time but felt this was the only way we could deliver Elizabeth. So we made that tough decsion and with in about 1/2 hour of giving the ok we were in the operating room and they were preforming the C section, they really are dedicated and fast when that descion is made. So at 12:23 am on September 12, 2008 our daughter was brought into this world. She weighed in at 6lbs 13oz and was 19" long. It was a rough time for Anni and i am very proud with what she went through to bring our daughter into this world. She is a very good mother to our daughter and was amazing through the whole experience. Just thought i would share the news with the rest of you and show some pictures. I am sure Anni will pst more, as i am sure that alot of this does not make sense.

Linda Elizabeth Ultrasound Pictures

Well Anni will be happy that I finally was able to get the ultrasound pictures scanned into the computer and put on here. Enjoy!

Here is the very first picture. It was done on the first visit, they could not get the heartbeat so the doctor wanted to make sure everything was ok. This was Anni's proof that we were not having twins!

Here is another that was taken on March 24 to get her size and measurements.

Here is a picture of her face that was taken on May 5, 2008 when we went to find out what we were having.

Here is a side shot, taken May , 2008
