So thanks to my absolutely wonderful husband, you know that friday was my birthday. It was a really good birthday too! My mom came down and we went to lunch at Hires Big H(one of my very favoritest places) and just had a good talk, mostly about how grateful I am she raised me the way she did(the hard way, not giving into my every whim, and teaching me to work for things, not assume they'll be givin to me, and that newest isn't neccisarily nicest, but to appreciate what I have because I work hard to have it and even if it's not the nicest or greatest, at least it's mine! and I can be proud of that)anyway, I hope I can be the kind of mom my mom was to me, cause she's really amazing! Then we came home and chatted some more about everything. I had quite a few of my friends text me and wish me a happy birthday, which I was not expecting so that help make my day! My good 'ol big brother called and we chatted for a few minutes, I love that guy, he's great! He's the reason I was hoping for a boy first, cause I look back and having a big brother to protect you was the best! He's still lookin out for me. My dad called and wished me a happy birthday too! Then when Tony got home we went to The Old Spaghetti Factory, as spaghetti is my favorite food, and they do it best! We had the greatest waiter ever!! He was on top of things, funny, and just really good. He brought out my spanoni with a candle in it, so I could make a wish, then he said since it was my birthday it was only right he give me a gift, and brought me a spaghetti factory glass, he even wrote happy birthday on our reciept!! We made a quick stop at Seagull Book to get our niece a baptism card and gift, and then we went and rented a couple movies we never got around to seeing in theatre, from Hollywood Video, as they give you a free rental on your birthday! Then we came home and watched 27 Dresses, we both really liked it, it was cute and really funny. Oh my goodness I nearly forgot the very best part!!! When we were at The Old Spaghetti Factory, Tony gave me my present. It was a Willow Tree figuring called Cherish.(It's a standing pregnant woman) I absolutely LOVE it!!!!!!!!! Tony called a few different places that didn't have it, and remembered we'd seen it at Cracker Barrel, so he went there and found it! He truly is the greatest man in the world, and I really don't know what I did so right to have him in my life!! But I'm truly blessed to have such a wonderful husband, and I love him with every fiber of my being! I had a really great birthday, so thanks to all!
Saturday, was a funfilled nonstop day! We worked on cleaning up this consrtuction zone in the morning(for the party on Sun) then at noon we had our neice emily's baptism, she looked so angelic in her beautiful white dresses!! She's just such a cutie all around! Then we went to the Nester's home for a little lunch after(oh and to watch some of the BYU game) We had to leave a bit early because we had tickets for Desert Star, so we came home real fast, and changed(all the while listening to the BYU game) and went and saw Scary Poppins(for my birthdayish),when we got there and went to pick up our tickets, they told us they weren't there. Turns out we had tickets for the noon show, and just totally forgot. luckily they had two seats come available at a shared table, but the seats were good, and at least they got us in! it was as usual hilarious!! And the family in front of us kept Tony updated on the game. When we came home we continued to clean, Tony's parents came over to help move furniture, and we vacuumed(with my parents mighty Dyson) and shampooed the carpet. It actually did a very good job!! Then we put the living room back together(it's so nice as it's the first time in months!) We listened to the U of U game while they were doing that. We really appreciate all the help we've gotten from family to put this place together again! After they left Tony was looking over the recipe for the lasagna and realized he still needed a couple things so he ran out to the store to pick those up.
Sunday I was so exhausted from the past couple days, that I slept til nearly 10 am, and since our church is at 9am, we kinda decided that it was better I rest. Tony spent all afternoon making really delicious homemade lasagna for the family of mine that decided to come to my birthday party(which sadly was only my parents my brother, my grandparents and my cousin Jake) but it worked out great in my brother Eric's favor cause he got 4 peices of lasgna! and took a few home with him too! We revealed our mostly finished nursery too! It's turned out so much better than I could have even imagined! Everything just fell right into place! My parents and grandparents and brother agreed, it was worth the work! Oh and of course we had yummy cake and ice cream too! Then my grandparents left and Tony and Eric had a nice long conversation, and me and my parents visited some more, and then we called it a night. It was a great weekend, (except for the lack of support from my family, I apoligized much to Tony for that, even good homeade food apperntly isn't a good enough bribe to get most of my family to our parties. but it was nice to have my parents, brother and grandparents down, oh and good 'ol cousin Jake too. We'll have to get more fish for him to look at next time he comes down!) One year older, and here's hopin' a bit wiser too!!
