So...I've been meaning to blog about life for a couple weeks now, so I'll just condense the last couple weeks. Mon the 15th after getting my staples taken out, they let Elizabeth and I go home. I was sooo more than ready, I couldn't believe it when they asked if I wanted to stay until Tue!!! But since it was up to me, we went home Mon afternoon, the pediatrician had come in before we left and told us that Elizabeth now weighed 6lbs 4oz(she'd lost 9oz) which put her under her percentile, so we were told, to make an appointment for Wed and get her checked out again. At that appointment she weighed in at 6lbs 3oz. They were concerned now she'd lost more than %10 of her body weight, so they had us bring her in on fri. Meanwhile we put her on the Goodstart formula as she was keeping infamil or similac down. On Fri she weighed in at 6lbs 6oz, they were pleased that she had started gaining weight again, but were still concerned as she was supposed to be back up to her birth weight of 6lbs 13oz in just a couple days, they told us that if she didn't get up to her birth weight by 2 weeks old they were going to deem her as failing to thrive and admit her to Primary Children's and tube feed her to catch her up, and then to test after test on her. I was horrified! We had only had her a week, and they were talking about taking her away again!! Not to mention that some of her major systems may not be functioning properly!! That weekend she got extremely constipated(not helping her weight gaining hopes) so we tried a free sample of similac soy formula we'd received, and it helped the constipation, but she threw it up alot. But when we went for yet another weight check last tue she was up to 6lbs 8.5oz Once again good but not as much as needed, so the nurse practitioner recommended we feed her anything we could get down her every hour and a half, we never really managed that but we did feed her every 2 hours(which was interesting as she took an hour to finish a bottle) basically we were feeding her constantly! But when we took her to her 2 week check up on fri she miraculously weighed 6lbs 14oz!! And looked perfect in every other way!! I was so relieved and soooo happy!!! I still have to take her back for another weight check in a couple weeks, and she has a mole on her birthmark on her back that our pediatrician wants there specialist to just check out, but other than that she is good to go!! 5 formulas later we found the one for her, and she gained the weight she needed!(I wish my dr would demand I put on weight!jk;)) After Liz's appt my mom and i went to Marie Calenders for lunch, then I had my appt with my OB, she said my incision looks good, and I appear to be healing from the surgery well so I'm free to start doing light housework, and light activities. YAY!!! It was a good day all around. For Tony too, as he went to his company's golf tournament, and played the day away! Lucky boy! Well next week is my first week on my own, just Elizabeth and I, it'll be a change but I'm actually looking forward to it! Well little butterfly is demanding to be fed so I must go!
Here are the pictures we promised. Enjoy!

Glad that hear that both of you seem to be doing well. I hope she keeps gaining weight as needed. love the new pictures. She is too sweet and I can't believe how tiny she is. I bet she gets big all too fast!
