So Elizabeth has been taking one, two maybe even three steps for probably about a month now, but not exactly what I would categorize as actual "walking". Well Sunday she finally did it, and all on her own(go figure!) without any egging on or encouraging or jeers from Tony and I. You see we sit in the front row of the overflow(as to give Lizabeth sufficient room to roam without disturbing everyone) she was standing at the back of the bench in front of us about oh maybe two or so feet away(I'm not good with measuring distance with my bare eye) and just like that she walked over to our neighbor Becky who was sitting next to us!! Tony and I looked at each other and just smiled. She walked!! no thought or hesitation she just walked! That night Tony would put her at arms length with something she wanted in his mouth and she would walk to him, I kinda got it on video but it's not very good cause she was pretty much done showing off when the camera came on(as usual). Everyday after lunch we go outside and play for a bit, we take her push stroller, and she goes all over the parking lot(while it's empty, nothing to run into) well she often stops and lets go of her stroller to point at things or pick things up, well when she lets go I move the stroller forward a bit, and she walks to it, well yesterday we were doing that and she walked across 2 parking stalls as I pulled the stroller in front of her, I couldn't believe how far she walked! Of course she then got mad and I had to give her the stroller. Then I went and got the camera to see if I could get a video of her doing it and this is the best I could get.
Now for the "more" part, Elizabeth LOVES to push her little stroller around inside too, but of course she runs into things alot as there isn't alot of room to roam downstairs, but recently she's figured out how to turn her stroller, the first time I saw her do it I couldn't believe my eyes! She just turns it! Once she practically picked it up and moved it! Basically watch out shadow she stopps for nothing now!! Yesterday she was jabbering on her phone, which she's figured out how to open all by herself! It was the cutest thing, she had her little phone pressed up against her ear, and was just jabbering away with her head cocked to one side, I did hear dada often in it so I figured she must be talking to Tony!
I just can't believe what a smart girl she is!! She can clap, wave, shake, and dance when asked to(and is in the mood of course!) We're just having so much fun watching her grow and learn, the time just seems to fly by and it seems like she's learning new things everyday. We love her so very much she brings so much laughter and joy into our lives!
