Las Vegas Baby!

Last Thursday we packed us all up and into the Focus for a fantastic get away in Vegas. We stopped every couple hours to stretch and take Lizabeth to the potty which worked better than I thought it would(I'm beginning to notice a trend, I really think I'm under-estimating her potty abilities especially during travel!) we rolled into Vegas at 9 pm there time unpacked into our wonderful hotel room...well it was more like a one bedroom apartment actually complete with kitchen, living room, bathroom of course, and separate bedroom which worked out beautifully when it came to putting Liz down for bed we just put her cot in the little closet area where it fit perfectly closed the bedroom door and let her run herself to sleep, all the while we relaxed on the couch and watched tv til she was down, it was so nice!
Friday morning Lizabeth woke up at the forsaken time of 5 am, luckily the bed there was harder than concrete so it wasn't too hard to roll ourselves off that thing, we chilled in the living room for a few hours where Tony and I each took turns taking a little catnap. Had breakfast, packed up the day bag and got to the Venetian Hotel just before ten and got our tickets to ride the gondolas, wondered for a bit til it was our time then got there with no one behind us in line so we had $65 gondola to ourselves for half the price! The "driver"(they have a special Italian name but I can't think of it, nor could spell it even if I could think of it), he told us about the different bridges and even sang us a song that he put my and Elizabeth's name in, it's was awesome truly I was in awe and wonder! I've always wanted to ride in the gondola there and it was as amazing as I knew it would be!! Then we spent a little more time strolling through my favorite hotel then headed over to Circus Circus for a lunch buffet that wasn't by any means the best we've ever been to...but the price was right and so it worked. Then we went to the indoor amusement park there where Elizabeth and I rode the carousel which she absolutely LOVED!! She was all smiles and kept saying weee! over and over!! Then we drove to the Worlds Biggest Gift Store which turns out actually to be the worst and overpriced gift shop. So we just headed back to the hotel had dinner then hit up the pool...such fun!
Saturday we went to the Shark Reef Aquarium which was totally awesome!! We all loved it! It is so cool!! Then we ate our picnic lunch inside as it was blazing hot outside! Then went and looked around New York New York where we got Elizabeth's "Potty Like a Rockstar" t-shirt, because she sure does!! We even found a Statue of Liberty build entirely out of jelly beans! Then we hit up the M&M and Coke stores, Then went over to the MGM Grand and saw the Lions, which Elizabeth recognized and quickly pronounced RAR! We had dinner at the Rainforest Cafe which Elizabeth couldn't get enough of! She was in RAR heaven!! She got so excited every time a "storm" started! It was super cute! After that we went to the Forum shops in vein as the FAO Schwartz store is gone :( So we just headed back to the hotel and called it a day.
Sunday we packed up, checked out and went to the Bellegio and walked through the garden, but Elizabeth was asleep the first time through. We then went out and watched a fountain show, then headed over for lunch at a Las Vegas Cheeseburger place which was over priced and took 2 hours!! So we just watched one last fountain show and took Elizabeth through the gardens which she thoroughly enjoyed, then sadly headed home, we rolled into our drive at about 11:30 pm. It was a fantastic trip that we all enjoyed a lot and it indeed served it's purpose as I didn't think once about the pregnancy I lost that was due that Saturday. So it was a success! And a great tradition!!

Great pictures coming soon!
