Elizabeth's second week of wearing underwear went better than the first so I'm feeling pretty good about it. She had three days of only having one accident! She had a not so great day with like four accidents too but I just try not to let those days get me discouraged and just forge onward. I just keep reminding myself she's not even two yet so there's no pressure, it's actually really nice. She didn't do too bad on our trip to Lava, she did much better than expected on the road, and this weekend, Saturday she spent with Tony's parents who didn't have the best luck, but Sunday she went all day without an accident even through church! I came and got her once during nursery and took her as she's still hesitant about going for people she doesn't know very well, but the plan worked as she kept her underwear dry all day!! we were stoked about it!
Last week on Tuesday it was a crazy day for us, I had my ENT appointment at 8am that Tony graciously came with me to, we got some good news too, turns out I won't need surgery as the skin growing in my ear hasn't gone behind the eardrum...yet they can't say how long it will stay that way so they'll just watch it but for now we avoided that. I do however have a skin and bacterial infection in my left ear, and the pressure is not right so I'm going back this Wednesday to work on getting that resolved. Then we stopped by Carter's as we had a $10 off a $10 purchase and got Liz some doggie underwear and a butterfly dress all for under two bucks! Then we went to Eye Masters and got my eyes checked and of course as I knew by my inability to see street signs my eyes have gotten worse so I got new glasses and sun glasses. Then we went up to Bountiful and visited with my grandparents while our Pilot got an oil change and inspection(for free as we test drove an Odessy a month or so ago) and we had them look at the AC issue too. That was our fun filled day and Elizabeth didn't have a single accident through it all!
This last weekend was full of things to do also! Friday we did family pictures at Gardener Village and our nieces and nephew helped us out by getting Elizabeth to smile at the camera. I think we got alot of good ones! I'm super excited to see the results! Afterward, we picked up some pizza for dinner and then headed over to the pool for a nice swim with the kids. Saturday we headed out to Osh Kosh as we had the same ten dollar off coupon there and got a set of six butterfly headbands, a super cute butterfly bucket hat and a T-shirt all for under four bucks! Then headed out to Tony's parents who watched Elizabeth for us while we went to Dessert Star which is always such a nice get away good time! When we picked her up we stuck around for a bit and gave Richard his Father's day gift and had a nice visit with them. Saturday evening Elizabeth enjoyed her little pool and Tony and I enjoyed watching her cuteness, she is the poster child of a water baby!! Then Sunday after church we headed up to my parents house where Elizabeth played in her little pool there had lunch then had a nuclear meltdown so we put her to bed. While she was napping we took the time to do some planning for our Oregon Coast trip and are getting really excited about it!! My mom prepared a delicious dinner we really enjoyed then we visited for a long while and headed home just after ten. Elizabeth fell asleep about 20 minutes into the drive home, and as we were backing into our carport all of a sudden out of nowhere we hear from the backseat "all done"! We looked back and saw a wide awake little girl! She came inside and was playing with her doggie and talkin, luckily when we put her down for bed she actually didn't put up too much of a fight.
Here are some pics my mom took from Memorial Day weekend and playing up at their house.
