Since the fourth was on Sunday this year we had celebrations Saturday and Monday! Saturday morning our ward had a pancake breakfast, then we headed up to Clearfield to help my parents get ready for our family BBQ party, which was lots of fun! My dad and Tony did up lots of delicious ribs, and Tony cooked hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill, Tony also made really mouth watering good cobbler! We played our own "Minute to Win it" which was full of laughs! We ended the night with lots of cool fireworks that Elizabeth calls "boom booms" and really enjoyed!
Monday morning we headed back up to Layton to watch a parade, that Elizabeth got quite a bit of enjoyment out of, and we scored lots of taffy without even really leaving our seats! Then we went over to the park where they were having a little fair where we got some lunch then went to my parents house to cool off and let Elizabeth take a nap. That evening we took Trax to the ballpark where we watched a Bees game, that they amazingly only lost by one! And then an amazing fireworks show after. We were all in awe, but especially Elizabeth who hasn't seen "big booms" that she can remember anyway!
And that was a our super fun Fourth of July weekend!!
