So I wish I could say I haven't posted because we haven't been up to much, but that's so far from the truth! I've just been lazy, that and I'm waiting for Tony to get lots of pictures into slide shows, but he's been really busy lately. So I'll just update you on things then add pictures later! Let's see where to start...
Well way back on the 21st of August we spent the weekend up at Mirror Lake, that was our first minor disaster camp, you know the one where the fates are just against you and every little thing that can go wrong does. Ya that was that camp for us. We forgot lots of little things I mean nothing we couldn't do without just made it a bit more challenging...like newspaper to help get the fire going, oh and the wood we picked up on our way there was not good wood at all. We forgot our hot dog sticks luckily Tony had the little BBQ, we forgot the smores stuff...just lots of little things like that. But we were determined to have an enjoyable camp anyhow so we rolled with the punches. Saturday we decided to hike to a couple of the lakes around as they weren't that far...what we didn't realize was that the "trail" was more like rock climbing up and down up and down. By the time we made it to the 2nd lake and had lunch we were spent...unfortunately we still had to do it all over again to get back! So we booked it back, it took us about two and a half hours to hike there and only about an hour and a half to get back, we were really haulin' butt! By the time we got back to camp we were so dead so we decided to just go for a little drive and take it easy. About the time we got back my head started hurting and by the time we were in the tent starting to settle little girl down it was a full blown migraine, and about half way through Baby Einstein I was so sick I puked my guts out and felt really awful, so Tony loaded Elizabeth and I into the car and threw down camp and into the car. And thanks to some great advice from Tony's sister and the on-call OB I was feeling better by about midnight. So other than the few bumps it was actually a nice camping trip!
Then the next weekend we spent up at Palisades, it was a great weekend!! Full of all kinds of fun. We got there late Friday(thanks to stop and go traffic almost the entire time we were on the freeway) Saturday though we swam in the lake, which Elizabeth LOVED!!! She had no hesitations just walked right in and swam away! Then we rented a paddle boat and the guys got a serious workout! Elizabeth really enjoyed riding on the "boap"! We adults had a pretty good time ourselves! ;) Then the guys rested while we had lunch and watched a movie, then Tony, my dad, Eric and I hit up the golf course and Eric and Tony played nine holes while my dad and I drove the carts, I loved it!! i think it's more fun when the players can't actually play well!! Cause I got to drive that cart all over looking for balls! ;) After that we pretty much called it a day!! Sunday was a late check out so we took our time heading out.
Then September 3rd we headed down to Lakeside campground in Provo or Orem or somewhere in there, for the annual Johnston family camp! It was so nice and relaxing! And Elizabeth just loved playing in the rocks and dirt and with sticks and leaves and anything else she could find! There was a nice pool the kids played in and Elizabeth liked the park as well. Saturday we did have a tragedy, our nephew Jordan was riding on a scooter and fell and broke his leg :( He was sucha trooper though! Also I guess I could mention that Sunday the 5th was my birthday, and Tony's dad so kindly made really good dutch oven chicken and cabbage..yum! And for dessert a pineapple upside-down cake with ice cream. I got some very nice presents and cards and it was a great birthday! Sunday was another just relaxing day visiting with family and playing games. Monday we packed up and headed home. Oh I almost forgot! Saturday tony lizabeth and I went to the BYU Bookstore and though they were out of the game day shirts in our sizes we got Elizabeth the cutest hat, and me some chocolate covered Cinnamon bears! It was such a great weekend!! Unfortunately the camera never made it out of the bag we'll have to be better about that next year!
The 12th was Little Elizabeth's 2nd birthday but I'll do a separate post about that! On the 11th we spent some time visiting with my grandma and grandpa, and my aunt julie was even there for a bit! Then we went up to my parents house and my mom and me went shopping for some warm maternity clothes as all mine are summer clothes, as Elizabeth was born in September and baby number two is due in March. We found some great deals, and even found an adorable dress for Elizabeth to wear to church for her birthday! Then my parents took us all to dinner at Marie Calendars my choice of course!
Last weekend my parents came down and we went with them to the Beesley family reunion and we were the only ones representing our family, it's from the line of my dad's fraternal grandmother and none of my aunts ever go so we represent. Then my dad helped Tony move our washer as something was broken on it the lid switch or something, but our neighbor Bro. Decapot was actually the most help he told them just exactly what to do and it was done in no time! my mom and I visited while Elizabeth was down for her nap and the guys were fixing the washer. Then we went to dinner and Elizabeth had some of Tony's peanut butter shake for the first time! She liked it! Sunday Tony let me sleep in and sleep in I did til 11! We went to our nephew Landon's deacon ordination at one, and Elizabeth wanted to stay with her Aunt Ketty so we got an impromptu break! Tony spent all weekend cleaning up our poor neglected place, it's so nice now!! Sunday evening we celebrated Landon's 12th birthday!
Well I think your just about up to date with us! Told ya we've been busy!!
Pictures coming soon!

Hey! Congrats on baby number 2! I am so excited and happy for you. :) The first time Erik and I went camping was a lot like that. We were so unprepared (no mom to pack everything for me!) and it downpoured all night long and the tent leaked! Ahh, good times. :)
