Vacation days 3 & 4

Sunday July 25th
Elizabeth got us up nice and early for our first full day on the Oregon Coast...I guess she knew there would be lots to do and see! We decided to head North up the Coast, our first stop was the Sea Lion Caves, that Elizabeth may not have fully appreciated but I thought was way cool! They even had a viewpoint area to look out at the Heceta Head Lighthouse! After taking in all there was to see there we headed off to the Heceta Head Lighthouse to see it up close! Elizabeth took a little catnap while I pushed her up the sorta gravel walk up to the lighthouse luckily she woke up for the tour which was really cool. When we got back down we had lunch at the picnic tables there then went and played on the beach and in the water that was so so soooo cold!!! From there we drove to Cape Perpetua Visitors Center and loved the views and information and exhibits there. One of the Rangers there gave us a couple "must see" places and so we headed off to one called "Devil's Churn" and for good reason! The water came crashing into this little area with some amazing force! I have not words to describe how very awesome and moving it was Tony and I just couldn't get enough it was amazing!! And with that we headed back to the RV to call it a day!

Monday July 26th
We started this day off by stopping off at the other place the Ranger told us about called Cape Perpetua Viewpoint, and the view was well worth the stop! It was beyond amazing! It was also foggy which gave the morning kinda a cool eerie feeling. Then we continued North bound to Newport where we visited the Aquarium that Elizabeth of course absolutely LOVED!! I think her favorite part was the Sea lions that swam right in front of her, she was laughing so hard! Oh and definitely the little play area with the animals she could climb on she loved that! After we had had our fill of the aquarium we decided to head to a near by beach in the old town party of Newport for some lunch, but when we got to the area there was not a picnic table to be found! So we drove around the little town for about 30 minutes looking for a park or somewhere to pull our lunch out but there wasn't anything of the sort so before it became dinner time we found this little restaurant called Challet Pie House. The food there was so good! And we discovered Elizabeth is a berry junky! Her kids meal came with blueberries, marianberries, and raspberries and she couldn't get enough of them we ended up ordering her another bowl!! And my dad ordered a cob salad and was amazed at how big the thing was! He also came out of there with a huge chocolate cake! Well worth the stop! And then with tummies very full we headed back to the RV.
