6th Anniversary Weekend!!

This post is way late and I feel bad, that it's taken me so long to write about our anniversary but I've been waiting to get pictures off my phone...so better late than never right?!
Anyway last Saturday was our six year anniversary!  Neither Tony nor I can believe it!  It doesn't feel like it's been six years already!  They have been quite the six years too!  the best six years of our lives, but definitely a roller coaster...luckily Tony and I both love roller coasters! ;)  We decided to spend the weekend together as what we wanted and really needed most was just a break from our adorable kiddos, and time to focus on just us!   And it was so nice!  Don't get me wrong we love our kids to pieces but dealing with Elizabeth's attitude and especially Devin's Autism can be so exhausting and can really put a strain on us as a couple!  So it was really nice to have that time to recharge and regroup!  Friday about one we picked up Landen and Emily and dropped them with our kids off at Tony's parents house(they were back-up for Tony's dad) They spent Friday night with his parents then after Emily and Melina's birthday party they went with my parents to their house and spent Saturday night at my parents then we met up with my parents Sunday evening at a family party at my grandparents in Bountiful.  And they did really well, mostly we were worried about Devin but we're told he was pretty much fine the whole time...YAY what a relief!
So Friday after dropping off the kids we got a quick lunch then started our tour of the Salt Lake Parade of Homes.  We started with the mansion in Draper and OH MY!  It was amazing! 20,000 square feet people!  It was a gorgeous house, and surprisingly(to me at least) was owned by an LDS family!  The two girls had pictures of each of them in their baptism dresses in each of their rooms!(their father and architect said that they did that so the girls wouldn't forget the covenant they made that day as they grow older...so cool!)  Then we just hit up as many houses as we could in the time we had, and we did pretty darn good!  Yes it made us ever so badly wish that we could buy a house of our own, but at the same time gave us motivation to keep doing what we need to to hopefully someday(sooner rather than later) see that dream of ours realized.  We also got some good origination ideas from some of the smaller town homes, and learned of some good builders, we'd never heard of but really liked. We had a late dinner at Fazoli's pretty much by ourselves then came home and called it a day!  Saturday we took care of some little things we needed to then went and looked at a few houses that were close to us, one of which became my dream home!!  Then that afternoon we went to Desert Star and saw The Adam's Family Home Evening, which was as always really good and very funny!  Then we went to City Creek and just wandered for a while, then we headed over to the Joseph Smith Memorial Building and sat in the lobby and just talked for a while until it was time to head up to dinner at The Roof!  Tony even had them put a beautiful bouquet of flowers for me at our table.  We had a table looking right out at the Salt Lake Temple where we were sealed for time and all eternity six years before.  It was beautiful as the sun was going down.  I don't think either one of us could have imagined on that day the wonderful life that was awaiting us...and we look forward to the wonderful life ahead of us!  Dinner was of course absolutely delicious!!  Tony gave me a card with a very beautiful message, but more important a letter he wrote that was so very sweet I couldn't help tearing up a bit.  I truly married the most amazing man in the world!!  And I love him more deeply than I ever imagined possible! After dinner we went to one of the Parade Homes that was up on the hill by the capitol....and we were so glad we did!  The house was very nice, but the VIEWS!!!!  Oh....my.....gosh.....they were absolutely breathtaking!!  Especially with the sun setting.  We were so glad we decided to hit it up while we were close!  Sunday I woke up with a stomach flu bug...no fun at all, but I worked through the best I could.  We spent the day going through and reorganizing the kids closet which had become a very hot mess! I almost couldn't even get to the kids clothes anymore! But it's so much cleaner, more organized and better functioning now....so nice!  Sunday evening we met up with my parents, and our kids at my grandparents, they were very happy to see us which made me really happy...we loved our time to ourselves but we sure missed our cute kids!  We had a good time at the family party to celebrate my cousin Sarah's birthday.  And that was our anniversary weekend!
These are just some of the pictures we took Saturday, there are more I need to get off my phone.

This first one is of my dream house...it was perfect in every way!
These are pictures of the view from the house above the Capitol
And here are a couple pictures of the beautiful flowers Tony gave me!
I'm going to try to add more tomorrow....we'll see if I get them off my phone!
