Christmas Eve!

We spent Christmas Eve up at my parent's, as is tradition.  In the evening we had a yummy southern meal of grits, ham, texas toast(the right way!), hush puppies and Gumbo!  It was delicious!!  Then we opened presents! We got Daniel a Rattle and Go car which Devin loved so we knew was a pretty safe bet!  Eric and, okay really Jen, sure spoiled our kiddos!  Elizabeth got the Little Mermaid carriage, and Devin a Bulls eye rocking horse.  They LOVED them!!  Nana and Papa really spoiled them as well!  Their big gifts were a dress up tower and lots of new dress up clothes for Elizabeth and a basketball hoop and little shape sorter ladybug toy for Devin, they of course got lots of other little things as well, including the elves gifts of pj's, slippers, and a book, we let the kids take in and play with some of their new toys until it was time to get home and prepare for the arrival of Santa!  We did the advent calendars, set out milk and cookies for Santa, and a carrot for Rudolph, put Santa's special key on the front door knob, got the kids into their new cute Christmas pj's, let them open a special Christmas Eve gift then Tony read them the story "Twas the Night Before Christmas" then off to bed they went!
