Boo at the Zoo, Carving Pumpkins, and the Holbrook Halloween Party!

Saturday was full of Halloween fun!  We started very early as to get to the zoo by 8. Since we have a booster season pass we get into Boo at the Zoo an hour early and that is the only way to do it! We got there just before it opened and found a great parking spot, the lines weren't very long so we were able to go all the way around in about an hour and a half.  It was cold at first, but once the sun came up it warmed up pretty fast.  This year for Halloween Elizabeth wanted to dress up as a witch(a good witch) :) and Devin wanted to be Mike the Knight(a Nick Jr. show). They were so excited to wear their costumes, and they were absolutely adorable!!

Boo at the Zoo

We even walked right on to the carousel!  That definitely saved us time!

Then we were on to do more trick or treating!

When we got home we let the kids watch a Halloween show and warm up some more, while we prepared to carve the kids' pumpkins.  Elizabeth had a really good time with hers Devin didn't really care a whole lot, but liked the end result!

Tony asked Devin to reach in and pull out the pumpkin "guts" and Devin's thinking, "you want me to do what?!!"

Then he said NO!! With his angry face. ;)

Elizabeth helped push the pieces out

The finished products!  Elizabeth told Tony exactly how to make her jack o'lantern, hers is the one with circle eyes, we just did Devin's the traditional way.

The Holbrook Halloween party, getting pictures of the kids in their costumes on the front porch.

My mom prepared an amazing Halloween dinner!

Then the kids did some mummy pumpkin bowling...it was a hit! ;) *pun totally intended*

A Halloween look and find!

Which pumpkin is different?

And pumpkin sorting!

Then the kids went back to more pumpkin bowling, then we watched a Sesame Street Halloween movie, then it was off to bed!  What a great day!!
