This past Saturday was Bunny Day, and a great Bunny Day it was! The Easter Bunny left some fun things for the kids in their baskets along with a couple books each and a new spring outfit. After going through their baskets and playing with their new fun things for a while, we gave them a lite breakfast while they watched Dora's Easter Adventure. Then we dressed them in their new clothes and we upstairs to see Nana and Papa, but as we were heading upstairs Elizabeth noticed the Easter Bunny had left a trail of bunny cutouts to follow out front where he left a new bigger bike for Elizabeth and a scooter for Devin! The kids were very excited! Elizabeth took her new bike for a spin and after some adjustment by Tony and some practice she was having a great time! Devin is still getting the hang of the scooter...he was not so sure about it, but I think with time he'll enjoy getting the hang of it. We played outside for a while then went inside and the kids watched a show while I put jelly beans in plastic eggs and my mom worked on brunch. Then the guys came in and helped out too. For brunch we had a delicious spread thanks to my amazing mom! She made a cheesy ham and potato casserole, and deviled eggs and we had a fruit bowl and veggie platter and traditional bunny cake. After brunch my dad and I went and hid the eggs in the front yard and the kids had tons of fun finding them, both kids were really into it this year! Then they came in and ate some yummy jelly beans and my mom gave them their bunny day gift. Then it was naptime for Devin...though he never actually went to sleep. While he was in his room playing, Elizabeth played the ipad and my parents kept an eye on them while Tony and I went to Kohls to use our Kohls Kash that was going to expire that day. When we got back we gave up hope for Devin's nap and let him play his Nabi, and Tony did some work in the yard. For dinner we went to Red Lobster to celebrate Tony's birthday with my parents. It was a great meal! Elizabeth entertained us by reading the dessert menu to us...it was amazing and kinda funny to hear coming from her little girl voice...good times! It was a wonderful Bunny Day!!
While out grocery shopping Friday night we got the kids new helmets(Devin first actually)
