After Elizabeth's birthday celebrations we got back to life and started school up, and with that came a huge schedule change, that was hard for the kids to transition to, but they've settled into now. We start our day with breakfast then getting dressed then we sit in the living area and have what I call Circle Time. We sing a primary song, say a prayer, recite the week's Article of Faith, read a chapter in the Book of Mormon Stories, then say the Pledge of Allegiance, pull out the calendar go over the days of the week and months of the year, then we do weather. Then each week we have a theme we read and learn about like "all about me", "hibernate, migrate, adapt" or "Fall". Then it's history(on Mon) or science(on Tue/Wed) which the kids do together, then it's morning break until lunch. After lunch Lizzy does typing, Spanish, math and language arts, while Devin does learning games on his kindle, then they switch. In the afternoon they usually play with friends outside at our place, their place or the playground. They come in just before dinner to clean up their room, then when Tony gets home we have dinner. It's a good schedule and school is working out even better than I thought it would! I love when that happens!
Decorating their folders for each day. (we school Mon-Thurs)
The first week's theme was All About Me, so we did some fun activities each day.
