Graduate, Lights, and a Christmas Party
Sorry it's been a while our laptop died a couple weeks ago, and I'm stuck downstairs pretty much all day, but we just found a great deal on a new laptop so I'm back in business! Let's go back a couple Thursday's ago..Tony got off early thinking he had a final that closed that night that he had to take, but when he got home he had an email from the teacher saying that it would be open til Friday, but we went up to Clearfield early anyway. Tony spent the entire weekend studying for tests, and finishing up school work so he could be done with it! Friday was a great day for Tony, he graduated with his Bachelors of Science in Construction Management!! I was so glad to be able to be there with him and see him walk and be so happy in his accomplishment, and I'm so very proud of him!! It has not been an easy road for him...especially this semester as he's had to deal with doing everything that I use to do while I'm down along with all the many things he already does for us, I can't believe how well he's kept everything going and together basically all by himself! But he did it and now he's done and I'm not sure who's more excited him or me!!(probably him, but I'm super excited to have him home in the evenings!) Friday night we found another site with lots of amazing Christmas light displays, which Elizabeth wasn't sure of at first but it didn't take her long to start naming all the colors and animals and such she saw and love it...in fact when we had driven all the way through she asked for more so my dad drove us to the middle of nowhere while looking at all the houses decorated with lights! Saturday was busy getting all ready for the Holbrook family Christmas party, which Tony and I volunteered to host at my parents house. We had a soup and such bar which worked out really good. Tony made a cheddar and broccoli soup that was very very good!! We played a little Christmas trivia game, then tore into the presents. Elizabeth was very happy with her haul, my grandma gave her a pink bag with her name on it and filled it with little books, and my mom made her a Curious George backpack with a cup and bowl in it, she also got a color your own cookie set, and a new bath toy. She was one happy girl! Sunday evening we had an open house to celebrate Tony's graduation at his parents house that went very well. It was quite the busy weekend, but it was a good one!!
