The last five pics were taken today as he's one week old! We took him to the pediatrician yesterday and he was given a clean bill of health, she did have me get his jaundice levels checked again and they came back the same as the last time they were checked in the hospital so he's holding his own now and is good to go! We of course always forget to do a family picture when we're all together so that's my next project!

Devin Anthony...our sweet little guy!!
Devin's birth story is so much simpler than Elizabeth's was. We went into Labor and Delivery at 6 am they got a vein to draw blood but it collapsed when they tried to use it for the IV so the anesthesiologist had to come in and even he had a hard time finding a good vein, but he got the first one he tried! Then the nurse just went over all the technicalities and prepped me. The assisting OB came in and talked with me, and before I knew it I was being taken into the OR. The Spinal wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be but I did have to direct him a bit by telling him when I felt pain and on which side, but he got it too on the first shot! The next thing I knew I could hear our son screaming. Such a wonderful sound..it was a good healthy scream. I was so very happy and so relieved to have him here. Tony went to document, and his stats are weight 7 lbs 15 oz height 20 1/2 inches, and everyone just kept telling me how adorable he was. Finally Tony brought him over to me and I had to agree with everyone he was absolutely adorable! And I was amazed at how much he looked like Elizabeth when she was born! I think they're going to look a lot a like. Between him and me nursing just wasn't working so he too is a formula baby, but at least he eats! They got worried about his jaundice Friday so they started him under all three lights 3 hours under lights 1 hour with us that night, and all through Saturday by that night he was down to only two lights and by Sunday he was looking good and his levels were out of the danger zone. Monday we were supposed to go home at 9am but they were worried about an infection they were treating me for so it kept getting pushed back but since I never developed a fever they let us go home around 4 pm. Elizabeth really loves being a big sister and just can't get enough of Devin, she's adjusting so much better than I thought she would! Devin is such a good baby I feel so blessed. I am doing well. I'm super sore and for some reason the swelling in my feet won't go down, but all things considered I'm doing very well. The nicest thing is being able to walk again without aid, oh how I've missed that! Well here's lots of pics to enjoy!

Congratulations you guys! He's the same size our baby was (well your guy was one ounce bigger but same height!) I'm so happy everything worked out. Hope you can recover quickly. Enjoy your sweet little one, they grow too fast!
