Fun Friday and Tony's Birthday!

Last Friday was both Tony's birthday and fun friday(the day before Bunny day, which is the day before Easter Sunday). We had quite the busy morning too! We started the day with a doctor's appointment for Elizabeth to check that her UTI was all cleared up, which is was! And the even better news was that since there are enough other possible contributing factors(ie. bubble baths, early potty trained, not drinking enough fluids and regular constipation) we don't have to have her tested yet...we're going to give her apple juice everyday to help with the constipation, no more bubble baths :((this was not taken very well) and push the fluids all day long! However if she gets another UTI it's testing for sure. After that we went to the store to get daddy a birthday present, at first she thought she'd like to get him a new hat, but couldn't find a good one. Then she suggested a wallet(hoping she could get one for herself as well, as she's been wanting one for a while, but no luck only daddy got one) she found the perfect one! Then I very nice tie caught my eye that would work great for Easter so I got that too. We picked up re-chargeable batteries for Elizabeth's iXL as it goes through them pretty fast....especially when it doesn't get put down! What is an iXL? Only the coolest kid toy EVER! It's a digital reader, game player, notepad, art studio, MP3 player and a photo viewer! Oh AND it has 9 "mini apps", a calculator, a typewriter, a virtual pet, a timer, flash cards, puzzles, piano, monkey play, and tic tac toe! I know what you're thinking that must be one expensive toy! And you'd be right! It retailed for around $80! So when Tony saw a deal on Amazon to get it for $30 we did! And it is going to save our trip to Disneyland in a month! We've also scored the Disney princess game for it for $8 and the Dora and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse games for $15 a piece(games are regularly $25-$30). We're putting the princess and Mickey ones away for the trip. We've already put a memory card in it and put more music and some pictures of her and her cousins Landen and Emily on it and she LOVES it!! Especially the personal pictures! Like I said COOLEST. TOY. EVER!!! So back to Friday, after picking up the stuff we needed from the store we went to lunch at McDonalds and I let Elizabeth play for a bit. We came home, put Devin down for a nap and started Fun Friday! All week we had been learning about the true meaning of Easter vs the fun of bunny day so we went over that a bit again, then read some great books, and did some Bunny day art and crafts! When Tony got home we had dinner, the birthday boy got some shrimp to have with his pizza dinner! Then after dinner we commenced the egg dying fun! We got a princess kit for Elizabeth and she very much appreciated it! Tony's parents came by and gave him a couple great gifts, then we baked the bunny day cookies, and while they we cooking played some bunny bowling! Had some yummy warm cookies and put the kids to bed! Phew what a fun day!!
