A Super Great Zoo Day!!

Thursday I took the kids back to the zoo as we didn't get to appreciate the animals at Boo at the Zoo, and it was a PERFECT day for it!  My sister-in-law Jen and baby Daniel joined us there!  There were very few people there so even Devin felt comfortable getting out of the stroller and wandering freely for most of it!  The animals were quite active, and the kids loved it!  This was definitely the most fun Devin has ever had at the zoo!  Elizabeth of course had a great time...she LOVES the zoo!!

Here is a video of the kids watching Rizzo the polar pear doing his laps...Devin giggled every single time!(try to ignore Elizabeth's "gotta go" dance, she's in the nasty habit of holding to the last second)

After a picnic lunch and wandering a little bit more we left the zoo and headed to the Moran Eye Center while we were in the neighborhood and got Elizabeth's glasses adjusted again...they seem to be needing it every couple weeks these days...gymnastics is incredibly hard on a four year old's glasses, all I can say is thank goodness their "flexies" or she'd be on her 20th pair of frames!!
Friday we went up to my parent's house so my mom could do Elizabeth's Spanish lesson...which she totally rocked!  As my mom said, she's gonna be teaching US Spanish before long!  My mom and I had a good chat while Devin napped.
Saturday morning we had the kids Christmas pictures done at JC Penny as we had a $25 off our purchase coupon(we "earned" them while doing the kids 4 year and 18 month pictures...it was a promotion they had going at the time)  The kids weren't being super cooperative but they still managed to get some cute ones anyway. After pictures we did some grocery shopping then went home and did a little cleaning...Tony finally got around to cleaning his car inside and out!  That evening we had my cousin Mary come down to help Tony with his resume and he's testing out the job market again, hoping to put his degree to work for him!  Then she joined us for a yummy spaghetti dinner with the Johnston homemade sauce!  Then she stuck around to look at tons of books with Devin!  She's such a GREAT cousin!!
