Monday the kids had TONS of fun playing in the leaves and Elizabeth had gymnastics which is always lots of fun! Tuesday I dropped Elizabeth off at a great neighbor's house, while I took Devin to OT and Feeding therapy at the clinic...Devin had a HARD session, he is becoming extremely "touchy" lately which makes life exhausting and frustrating, and I'm kind of glad that Dani got to see that of him all....session.....long. But we all survived. I visited with Maria while my kids played with her niece and nephew. Ok while Elizabeth played with Oscar(Maria's nephew...not her imaginary friend) and Devin just played, he doesn't play with other kids. Then we came home and went on with business as usual.
Last week Elizabeth did A LOT of learning! We talked about leaves(how different trees have different types of leaves, and what leaves do for the tree, why they're green and change color and fall ect), we also discussed the election. We talked about voting...polls...what an election is, and a lot of fun facts about our country. She was surprisingly into and excited about it! Her gospel lesson was H is for Heleman's Army.
Wednesday night 9 of the "mommies" in our ward and neighborhood went to dinner kidless! It was so much fun visiting with all those cute gals! And getting a little break from my adorable kiddos! We plan on getting together once a month starting again in January(as December gets super crazy super fast!). Thursday the kids and I went to the playground to enjoy our last good warm weather day, in the afternoon Elizabeth's Aunt Ketty picked her up and took her to play for a while, she was thrilled with the surprise! Friday it was bring on the snow!! My mom still managed to make it down for Elizabeth's Spanish lesson. Elizabeth is starting to read in Spanish it's beyond crazy to me...she gives us chills with how naturally this seems to be coming to her! As the big beautiful snow flakes came falling down in abundance I turned on our fireplace, put my birthday present(hot chocolate maker) to god use! While the kids stood on the couch nice and warm and snug and watched the snow coming down from the window...it was great! Such a beautiful scene! Saturday morning we used our other $25 dollar off our purchase coupon for family Christmas pictures at JC Penny...and the kids were soooo good! The photographer was awesome as well, so we got a lot of super cute pictures and we spend half of what we would have! Then we went out and got ourselves a storage unit as we just can't cram all our stuff in our little place anymore...and with Christmas coming up it was our only option. Luckily we found a great very close place that had a great deal going on, pay for two months and get two months free! Then we stopped by Lowes for a couple things, went home and started putting the storage unit to good use! Sunday after church we put together a "little Thanksgiving dinner" for us and our friends/neighbors the Degen's they kindly baked the rolls for us(no oven), and it was delicious! We really enjoy visiting with them and our kids have a good time playing together.
And that was our week! Enjoy the pictures! (there lots!!)
These were taken a couple weeks ago...nothing says fall like leaves and overalls!
More fun in the leaves from this week....there were a lot of leaves to play in!(the first few are just of their cuteness last Sunday)
Here is a video of Elizabeth jumping into a pile of leaves...and the kids just having fun!
Devin has really taken a liking to the sit 'n spin(it's a sensory thing). The picture of Elizabeth is when she fell asleep on the floor while watching PBS kids, I just love how she fell asleep!
And playing in the snow! Devin wasn't too sure at first and didn't last long once he gave it a shot, but Elizabeth still absolutely loves it! She stayed out for like 15 minutes after I took Devin inside.
This boo boo came out of nowhere(although he smacks his head a lot lately so....), Tony was holding him and I noticed it...he didn't make a peep about it, not so much as a whimper...darn pain tolerance! Luckily it was AFTER our family Christmas pictures, phew!
Oh and those last few were of some of our past Sunday fun :)
