Monday was a typical day ending with FHE, after which Elizabeth wanted to watch the Book of Mormon Stories videos, she watched 6 of them before bed. Tuesday afternoon was kinda crazy. Devin had his two year wellness visit at 3:30 down in the Murray area, so Elizabeth got to have snack/t.v. time upstairs(my mom works from home Tuesdays and Thursdays). Devin's appointment went pretty well I'd say, his pediatrician was totally floored and in awe of all the progress Devin has made since she saw him at 15 months old. He's still behind in just about every area of development, but not nearly as far behind as he was then, and he's quickly catching up in a couple areas....so I was very happy! Then we got to his diet....ugh. She was not pleased to hear how little he eats and was concerned about the fact that he pretty much lives on milk, mostly she was concerned that he might becoming anemic, so they tested him and he wasn't anemic....but he's VERY close. So she said he could only have three cups of milk a day(he was drinking 6-8 cups) in hopes that he will become hungry enough to eat more real food(so far that's a no go). If he still refuses to eat we're going to try nutrient rich smoothies and shakes. If that doesn't work things are going to get ugly....feeding tube ugly. She expects him to loose a little weight while we're making the transition but she says it's worth it in the long run. Overall though Devin is doing far better than expected and that's GREAT!! Ok to his stats: Height 37 inches 98%, Weight almost 28 pounds 50%(this is why it's not a huge deal for his weight to drop a little cause he's plenty far on the chart that a pound or two isn't going to drop his BMI too low), his head circumference was in the 95th percentile. He got one shot, it was funny cause he said "ow" before she even poked him than barely made a peep when he actually got poked. He knew it was supposed to hurt so he said ow, but he didn't really feel it, so no sad ending to his visit! We went straight to Bravo Art Academy where my parents kindly brought Elizabeth for her dance/tumbling class. It was parents night so Tony also met up with us there, unfortunately Devin did not fare well(it was like he used up all his goodness during the dr visit!) so my parents offered to take him home so Tony could stay with me to watch Elizabeth. The last ten minutes of class we got to go in and have the kids show us what they've been learning, and then if they passed off each skill on a high enough level they got a red ribbon, if not then they got a white ribbon. I was very happy and proud of our little girl when he teacher presented her with a red ribbon! She was really excited herself! Wednesday and Thursday were pretty typical days, but we did go outside in the afternoons. Wednesday Elizabeth rode her scooter and Devin rode his little fire truck(he was excruciatingly slow though) After about a block and a half I ended up carrying the fire truck while Devin walked and ran. Thursday I just put him in the stroller when he was tired of walking/running and Elizabeth rode her scooter. It was so nice to get out! Thursday evening my mom and I went to a Pampered Chef thing that was being hosted by my mom's visiting teacher. It was fun and the food was yummy! During school this week Elizabeth read a Step 3 book (ya that's a 1st-3rd grade level) she's also read just about every children's book in our house! She worked on counting by 2's(which she's pretty much got down) and 5's(which she knows pretty well from telling time) and 10's which she's really good at! So we started going into multiplication and division. I can't believe I'm typing this but my four year old can do multiplication and division! We're still also doing addition and subtraction as well. And I love how good her writing is getting! It's kinda funny though because we're discovering writing on a dry erase pad when you're left handed is problematic because what you wrote previously gets erased by your arm! So she erases as she writes. :)
Fun Friday Tony took a sick of work day, and the kids loved playing with him! Devin had therapy that morning as well, which went....badly, but she wanted to see him "freak out", and Devin did NOT hold back! He screamed and melted down pretty much the entire time(because I wouldn't let him pour water from his sippy cup into a play piece of coal) He got so worked up that by the time he calmed down he fell asleep. She was truly amazed and surprised at how worked up he got(I'm thinking welcome to my life). She talked about ways to address it and called it a session. At 3 my cousin Mary came down to watch Devin while we took Elizabeth to down town Salt Lake. We went to Build a Bear to use gift cards and coupons we had, and she got quite a few clothes for her animals! Then we went to dinner at Applebees, then let her put her cinderella dress on and we took her to Disney on Ice. Out of all the amazingly fun things all around her, she asked for only one thing. A Rapunzel doll, so since it was the only thing she wanted we obliged, and she was soooo happy! We did also get some cotton candy that came with a really cute crown. Elizabeth LOVED the show!! She was a bit hesitant during Princess and the Frog as she's not big into the voodoo thing, but she lit up like the sun during Cinderella. I was afraid she was going to hyperventilate from all her thrilled gasping! And she LOVED Tangled just as much, it was so cool and soooo much fun. She nearly lost it at the end when ALL the princesses came out with their princes! She was most definitely the happiest girl in the world! We had such a good time with her, it was more than worth the money it cost! Saturday was a crazy busy day! We had planned on doing Easter pictures but Elizabeth supposedly fell off her bed(that's what she told us happened) and scraped/bruised one side of her face pretty badly so we postponed until next Saturday. We had so much grocery shopping to do though so it was kind of a good thing, we hit up Sam's Club first, then Walmart then Lowe's. We went home unloaded the car gave the kids lunch, and put Devin down for his nap. My parents kindly agreed to keep an ear out for him, while we took a 20% off coupon to Toys R Us where we looked at a new scooter for Elizabeth to recommend to the Easter Bunny. Luckily the Easter Bunny was able to use our coupon and get her an incredible scooter for a great price ;) Oh but before that we stopped by the Clearfield Aquatics Center and took a tour of their amazing facilities. Elizabeth loved the pool of course, but we were impressed with their workout areas, equipment, and classes. So we agreed to use a little of our tax return and get a family season pass. After Toy's R Us we went back to Sam's Club and used a little more of our tax return on a My First Trampoline for the kids....mostly Elizabeth as we don't know how Devin will like it. It was a really good price too so that helped! Then we went home and Tony started putting the tramp together as Elizabeth could hardly wait to jump! That evening we had a Toy Story birthday party for Devin with my side of the family, and it went very well! He loved all the Toy Story stuff! Sunday went much better this week, especially Sacrament meeting....I was so happy! Devin was a little unsure of the little change they made to going into nursery and cried a bit but they do snack first so he took a good long drink of water and calmed right down. My mom gave a wonderful lesson in Relief Society, and Elizabeth did mostly good in primary so yay for good Sundays! After church our home teachers came by and visited with us, then we had a delicious dinner with my parents. Then we watched Wreck it Ralph with popcorn and Girl Scout Cookies(oh ya, we picked up G.S. cookies at Sam's both times we were there ;)) It was a fun movie night. And that was our fun crazy week!!
