Memorial Day Weekend!

Thursday evening after Tony got home from work about an hour early we loaded up into the motorhome and Tony drove us to Hyrum State Park. We set up and had dinner and went to bed! Friday we got up had a quick but yummy breakfast then drove out to the Pepperidge Farm Outlet store where we stocked up on crackers and cookies as their selection was really good(as are their prices!) Then we went to Casper's Ice Cream on the next street over and had some delicious ice cream! The kids had Fat Boys, my mom and I had the best chocolate malts EVER!! And the guys got ice cream. Then we went over to Lowry's Meat and picked up some ham and turkey ends that were bogo. After that we finally stopped for lunch(even though most of us weren't super hungry after the delicious ice cream stop) we stopped at this great place that is like 3 fast food places in one! You can get anything from burgers to tacos to pasta and just about everything in between! Elizabeth and I got Grilled cheese, my mom got tacos, my dad got a salad and Tony got baked spaghetti. They have really cheap but really good food! After lunch we went to Gossner's and stocked up on flavored milk and cheese. Then it was back to the motorhome where Elizabeth played outside with Tony and I convinced Devin to take a little nap. Then the kids watched Ice Age in Devin's bunk. We had dinner and visited while the kids went to sleep then went to bed ourselves. Saturday morning we were planning on picking up Jen and Daniel at my parent's house but she texted and said that Daniel wasn't feeling good so they weren't going to be coming up. We sure missed seeing and spending time with them but understand it's much more important to get Daniel feeling better! After breakfast we went to Walmart to pick up a few things we needed, Tony and I went to look for jackets for the kiddos(as I forgot to pack them) but had no luck we did end up getting an outfit for each of the kids though! ;) We also found some good $5 movies and a blue doggie Dream Light for Devin(we'd be borrowing Elizabeth's as he'd been waking up in the middle of the night and wanting some light). My parents found some good things too, like a very fun frisbee golf game set! After our trip to Walmart we went up to the Smithfield Cemetery to put flowers on my great grandparents grave(my dad's mom's parents) and it was actually nice and sunny for once! Then we went to Angie's for lunch! Which was very good....not quite Sill's good...but still good! Then we went back to the motorhome and I attempted to put Devin down for a nap(for an hour and a half!) but he just wouldn't go down! So I just ended up putting in one of the $5 movies we bought(he claimed Tickety Tock for himself, it's a preschool show on nick jr) and Elizabeth had fun playing outside trying out the frisbee game...Tony helped try it out too! Then Tony and I decided to go to the DI to look for jackets, so my mom kept an ear out for Devin and we took Elizabeth with us. We found a great jacket for Elizabeth(she needed a new one anyway as her old one is getting much too small) and we even found a brand new hoodie for Devin! I found lots of good books...I love buying books for fifty cents a piece! The kids each got a little something for a dollar or two, and so we considered the trip a huge success! We got back just after Devin had woken up and played outside a bit. The kids watched Elizabeth's new Barbie($5) movie while we got dinner ready, they paused it to have dinner then finished after while we adults started watching Monuments Men. We paused it to put the kids to bed then finished it. Such a great show!! Then we went to bed ourselves. Sunday we got up and had breakfast then loaded up in my parent's Pilot and drove up to Lava Hot Springs, we stopped by a playground to have lunch and play for a bit, then went to the campground where Tony's parents and the Nester's were staying for the weekend. We visited for a while then drove up to my Aunt's property to show them and just check it out as it's been years since we've been up there...and there is plenty of work that needs to done! The kids had fun running around! After coming back we visited and played card games while Tony's parents did dinner and dessert. We had to eat dessert and run as it was getting late, but it was a lot of fun to spend the day with them! Monday the kids played outside all morning and as we packed up the motorhome...to keep them out of the way! Then it was time to head home. When we got home we bathed the kiddos and unloaded the motorhome, then Tony and my dad went to Lowe's to get the stuff they need to build my parent's deck. We had dinner outside then Tony set up the pool for the kids which they were over the top excited about! And that was our very fun weekend!
