Decorating for Christmas!!

Saturday morning we got our Christmas tree up and let the kids put the ornaments on. They love seeing all the ornaments we've gotten through the years, some for vacations we've gone on some for the kids' Christmases, they just love seeing them and hearing stories that go with them. They love watching themselves grow in our family picture ornaments. Putting on ornaments is so much more fun when they're personal! After the tree was done we pulled out all of our super fun Little People Christmas sets. Some people have really nice Christmas villages that look so nice, but cannot be touched as they're very fragile.....not us we have a Little People Christmas village, that our kids have endless fun playing with! It's the highlight of the season for our kids! It started years ago when Elizabeth was just little, with the Nativity as I wanted one she could interact with and it's grown a lot over the years! We put out the few decorations we wanted to and enjoyed watching the kiddos play with the train and the Little People sets. After lunch we put Devin down for his nap and my parents kindly watched Elizabeth while tony and I went to the theater and saw Mocking Jay part one, which was really good! Then we went to Sam's Club and did some of our grocery shopping as we were running out of basic necessities! When we got home Tony put away what needed to be kept cold or frozen then my parents took us to a wonderful new restaurant in Roy called Southern Comfort. They serve Southern and Cajun style food, and it was absolutely DELICIOUS!!!! We'll definitely be going back!
Sunday the kids were still sounding pretty sick so we left them with my parents while we went to teach our primary class. After church we had lunch watched a Veggie Tales and put Devin down for his nap. Devin slept for a long time so we took Elizabeth up to start helping Nana and Papa decorate their big Christmas tree. Devin woke shortly after they got started on the ornaments and came up and helped put ornaments on the tree. They had a really good time with it! For dinner we had leftover Thanksgiving dinner which was just as yummy the second time! That night we watched Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas for family movie night. And that was the end of our fun long holiday weekend!
