Ok so last week felt like it was a month long!! Who says kids over 3 don't get croup very badly(only every website I looked it up on! In their defense they did say kids with respiratory issues like asthma are more prone....but still!!!) We put the monitor in Elizabeth's room Sunday night as she was still wheezing pretty good, and her fever had a vengeance which caused her to be lethargic....seeing an ADHD very hyper little girl not move AT ALL for days was really hard on me, I just wanted to make her feel better. She was distressed about the fact that it was hard to breathe....Que her anxiety, she was afraid she was not going to get enough air and die...there's the dash of drama. Luckily I had already planned a break from school the week of Thanksgiving we just didn't do hardly any of the activities cause she just wanted to rest so she could feel better. That evening she didn't have theater class anyway due to fall break. Tuesday she started breathing better and her fever finally broke but she was still coughing a lot, and still complained that her throat hurt. So we had another take it easy day. Devin even won the battle to stay home from preschool. Wednesday she started perking up a bit so I pulled out the new Leap TV game we bought on sale, and they had a blast with it all morning! It took it out of her though cause in the afternoon she was slowed down again, so we didn't do Bravo classes either. At this point Devin still looked and sounded great so I thought for sure he hadn't caught Elizabeth's croup(and really prayed he hadn't)...unfortunately that wouldn't be the case. :( That's where I'll leave this post until the next post on Thanksgiving.
Playing the sports Leap TV game!
I absolutely LOVE the learning with the playing!
Bowling
In this picture Elizabeth is telling me she knows this one....it's EASY!
Karate chop action!(it's tells them to chop all the______ shapes, Elizabeth's has 2D and 3D shapes, Devin's just does the basic shapes)
"Weight lifting" though it's more like pull the handles ;) Elizabeth has to choose the number that balances the scale. Devin just has to find the matching one)
Rope climb...answer questions correctly to get a power boost!
Swimming, also has power boosting questions.
Baseball, Devin isn't real fond of this one as it can be kinda tricky.
Snowboarding, they are asked to go through gates with the correct answer to the math problems.
Devin gets great joy from taking out the snowmen....no you're not supposed to hit them. ;)
They love being a goalie in soccer! They really get into it!
Skateboarding, Elizabeth is getting pretty good at this tricky one...Devin still needs me to do it with him or he just runs into the sides over and over!
And their all time favorite game is the one that came with it, Pet Playworld!
They also had a grand 'ol time playing with their Legos that afternoon, they were coming up with some really creative and fun stuff!
