Last week we started off with a typical Monday school, then the kids have been taking great advantage of the wonderful spring like weather we've been having and playing outside A LOT. That evening was Elizabeth's theater class which went well. I put oils on Devin every couple hours trying to kick his cold. And keep from having to give him any albuteral through the nebulizer to keep him breathing, and the oils worked wonderfully! Tuesday he still had a low fever and was coughing and congested so he got out of going to preschool, which he was far to happy about. I did school then the kids played outside for a while. That afternoon I dropped Devin off with Mary while I took Elizabeth to OT (Anna her therapist had to reschedule from Thursday this week). Also I failed to mention before that Anna her therapist was the one from the Taylorsville Clinic that evaluated Liz, she wanted to be her therapist so badly she agreed to drive to Bountiful one day a week and take on Elizabeth and a few other patients just to do it! It's obvious every time I see Anna with Liz that she really loves my little girl and wants to help her. they're are such a good fit together too! Wednesday was school and outside play. Devin took a long nap and Elizabeth took a long bath so we didn't make it to Bravo classes, Thursday Devin stayed home with me and wonderful Sister Copas picked Elizabeth up and took her to the homeschool co-op. Devin "helped" me clean house so I only got a fourth of what I wanted to done. ;) After Elizabeth got home we had lunch then Elizabeth actually helped me do some more cleaning while Devin was down for his nap. If there is one thing the oils really really helped with while Devin's been sick it was sleep! He's usually up all night coughing and usually takes short naps due to waking up coughing but with the oils he slept great and a ton! The rest of the day was typical. Friday was a pretty busy day! We did school then Mary came up and watched the kids while I went to my eye exam at the Standard Optical in the Mall. My left eye wasn't much worse but my right eye is a little worse, so he adjusted my prescription and I used the flyer they sent me to get the eye exam free, and a free pair of glasses. Because my prescription is so strong I did have to pay a bit to get the thinnest lens they make so they'll fit in the frames, but it was still a really good deal! He again tried to talk me into Lasik, but it's just freaks me out too much. After I got home I let the kids eat lunch while watching Bolt(this is Devin's favorite movie right now, in fact he has the step into reading Bolt book memorized, I've read it to him so many times!) That afternoon my mom watched Devin while he played outside and such, while I took Elizabeth to her follow-up appointment with her pediatrician. We agreed that the medication is helping and that she isn't having any bad side effects, so it should be safe to increase it a bit to see if it will help even more. Which we did. After we got home we had pizza for dinner and called it a day! Saturday was the Pi Day of the century so my mom had a fun little party. Where we had breakfast pies and apple pie and fun books about pi! Jen and Daniel came up and the kids had fun playing outside while Tony put up our outside trampoline and cleaned up the yard a bit. After that my parents watched the kids while we and Jen went and found a Girl Scout cookie booth and bought some cookies and picked up some lunch at the Maverick. That afternoon we drove to Tony's parent's house for their annual corn beef and cabbage St. Patty's Day dinner. The kids, even Devin, had fun playing outside with their cousins, while we enjoyed visiting. It was a fun filled day! Sunday was such a nice day the kids played outside a lot, Tony and I got our bedroom back, cleaned and organized, which is so nice to have done! The kids watched some movies as well. In the afternoon we took it easy. Tony made dinner for us, my parents and Jen and Daniel. And the kids enjoyed playing in the backyard while we visited. The kids watched Cinderella for movie night and that was our week!
Devin loves his "play ipad"!
