Tuesday the 5th Elizabeth performed in her first play! She played the part of Kristoff, and a "summer snowman". A sweet sister in the ward watched Devin in the afternoon for me so I could take Elizabeth to the dress rehearsal/performance for the students of Syracuse Elementary. They did a short version of the play which Elizabeth admitted confused her, but considering this was her first play I think she rolled with the punches pretty well! After, we came home and had dinner and just chilled for a little while until it was time to go back for the main performance that evening. My parents and Sandy came to see her shine! In my completely unbiased opinion I think she did AMAZING! She truly is a natural actress, she had the perfect "stage voice" she doesn't yell, but she is clearly heard. This is one of the main reasons she was asked to play Kristoff, as it was an important role with more than a dozen lines, and if they couldn't be heard the play would suffer. She also has really good intonation for her age, heck kids with 5 years on her spoke their lines like robots, she really gets into character! She was by no means perfect, she missed one of her line ques, and it took her a bit to get it, and she could use some work on singing and dancing at the same time, and on being a "back ground character" and not looking bored. But all in all it was an AMAZING performance! She will definitely be doing it again next year!
The dress rehearsal for the elementary
The "orphanage scene" originally Kristoff wasn't a part of this scene but they didn't have enough kids to be orphans to make the scene work, so they re-worked her script so she was now Kristoff an orphan too.
Kristoff and Sven
The "Trolls scene"
The finale(I absolutely LOVE the song for the finale, it's called "You're Worth More Than Gold", I'm going to try and get a video of Liz singing it it's absolutely AMAZING!
The main performance!
She's such a poser!
It turned out that one of the orphans was sick and two wouldn't go on stage, so they had to wing it a bit :/
"It's a Hard Knock Life"
The song "Make Some Noise", it was her favorite. She sings it all the time!(It has a very catchy big band rythem)
Summer snowmen singing "In Summer" from Frozen.
With her Academy Award!
Flowers from daddy and her award!
