The first Saturday of December we started our day by decorating my brother and sister's graves for Christmas, then we had a family lunch with my grandpa Holbrook at Sizzlers. Poor Devin didn't do so well this year and needed sunglasses and headphones before we even sat down. He gagged at the sight of the mushrooms I forgot to ask not be put on my steak and was just very much on edge. Lizzy did really great though! She ate half her piece of steak and lots of fruits and veggies. She well earned her dessert! Devin freaked out because the ice cream was too soft, but settled with a bowl with some M&Ms. It was nice to be together with family. After lunch we went to the South Town Mall as Bath and Body Works was having a fantastic sale on the candles I love there. It was conveniently right next to the American Girl store that is here just for the holiday season. We let Lizzy get a Lovey for her Bitty Twin Olive and an adorable holiday dress with shoes and headband bow as well. Then we stopped by Build A Bear as most clothes there fit her Bitty Twins and the American Girl store didn't have any boy clothes. We found a super cute one piece Christmas outfit for Oscar though so no worries! Devin simply wanted a small stuffed banana for his minion Kevin to hold. ;) After all that we were off to Chuck E Cheese as Lizzy was invited to her friend Liza's birthday party and they made special arrangements just so she could be there, which was so sweet! We brought Lizzy her own gluten free pizza and cupcake, but she was still pretty full from lunch so she didn't actually eat any of it. Devin was just excited to play! But nearly lost it when he discovered that this one didn't have his favorite "monkey ball game". Luckily he found some other familiar things to do and warmed up to some of the different games. He won the jackpot on a few games and we came home with a TON of tickets! It was so crazy busy we decided not to get prizes there. Then we came home and the rest of the day and Sunday was packing for the Disneyland trip!
