February To The Best Of My Recolection

So February....Not much went on this month because I came down with a serious case of Bronchitis that most likely turned quickly into Pneumonia. I had absolutely no energy and felt downright awful. I managed to get school in when I could....luckily Lizzy is a mostly independent learner now, so she was at least able to get the 3 R's in each week. and The Magic School Bus filled in for science nicely. Devin did abc mouse preschool. ;) I didn't do anything for Valentines Day, luckily my mom and grandma got the kids some fun things, so they were good. I think Tony cut their sandwhich and bread into a heart, and we had a Cat in The Hat Valentines movie he let them watch too.  We found out this month that Tony had been assigned to a wind farm project up near Casper Wyoming, though we weren't exactly sure when we'd have to be up there, we knew it would be sometime in April though. We went to the RV Show and ordered our BIG fifth wheel, but ran into some issues with Heartland who is the manufacturer of the model we love but need to modify a bit to best accommodate our needs. After kinda freaking out, looking at all other options and having a delicious lunch at Joe's Crab Shack, we were able to come up with an acceptable solution. So YAY!! All's well that ends well right?!! Towards the end of the month Lizzy had a follow up with her Optometrist, which showed no significant change in her lazy eye....it's not completely gone but it's as good as we're gonna get it and he and I feel good about it. I like her optometrist so much I decided to go to him myself for my eye exam too! I needed a significant increase in my prescription, and he saw some things in eye he wanted a better look at so I paid a little extra and got a fancy optical picture of my eye balls(luckily our insurance helps pay for it!) The pictures showed what's called a Chirpee(each letter stands for something technical) basically it's a black circle on my eye, I have two smaller ones as well they call "satellites" they can be a sign of colon cancer but as there is only one significant one and I have no other signs he's not worried about them. He will be keeping an eye on them though. He also saw a few damaged veins in my left eye that he said could only have been caused by a stroke! I told him I "unofficially" had a stroke in 2010, but they could never find it on an MRI to officially diagnose it, though I was treated for it regardless. He told me that he'd found the proof! VINDICATION!! I felt like asking him to send that information to the IMC Neurological Department on my behalf but of course didn't, as it doesn't matter now. and official or not I got the treatment I needed eventually, and recovered beautifully....if I do say so myself! ;) I did have some loss of peripheral vision that he contributed to my outdated prescription and maybe needing a different frame shape. So the wonderful tech there helped me pick out a perfect frame(and I think they rushed the order cause my glasses were ready to pick up in less than a week!) Devin got another haircut(I wish my hair grew as fast and thick as his does! It's just not fair!!) and we of course visited with my grandparents after. My kids and I really cherish our talks with them! At the very end of the month I managed to get the kids out and to a playground on a nicer weathered day. Luckily there is a really nice one right next to the place where Lizzy's theater class is. It's also next the library, so we've been borrowing books too! That's about it!

Lizzy did this 100 piece puzzle all by herself and was so proud she wanted me to take her picture!

Valentine's Day!
 Valentine's bear cups!

They both got Paw Patrol valentine's chocolates!
Heart shaped maze....notice who is enthralled with it?!

 Valentine's cards from my parents

Valentine's gifts from their great grandparents.

I think they like them! ;)

Devin fell asleep on me during a family movie night!

Shadow was a great resting buddy ;)

Playing at the playground before Lizzy's theater class.
The only kind of swing Devin will swing in,

 Lizzy loves this spinning thing!

 This spins too!
 Climbing the "mountain"

 He found this very relaxing...
She got all the way to the top!
