May Update

In may we enjoyed better weather so we were able to spend more time at the playground and just outside in general. Toward the end of the month we went to Boondocks for Tony's work party and the kids had such a great time playing arcade games going on the go karts again and again! We also played a super fun game of miniature golf! They provided pizza and pasta, salad and bread for lunch. That evening we went to Russell's house to celebrate Levi's 1st birthday. Lizzy loved being able to play with her cousin Melina! After we went back to Boondocks for a last round of golf. We spend Memorial Day weekend going on some hikes and seeing the beautiful area around us here in the basin of Utah.  Devin finally decided to give learning to pedal a real try and now loves riding his bike! Oh and he lost his first tooth! And was very excited by his visit from the tooth fairy! It also brought the opening of the pool!!

Playing at the KOA's playground.

We got lots of great books from hosting the online Usborne party and the kids simply couldn't wait to crack them all open! I love that most of them we'll get reimbursed for from My Tech High!(as we use them for school)

One rainy day the kids had pj school....we're going to pretend like this doesn't happen a lot. ;)

Go Karts at the Clyde event at Boondocks.

Landen being the best cousin ever and playing with Devin.

 Mini golf at dusk :)

Driving in circles is right up Devin's OCD alley!
Tony took Lizzy on the bigger faster ones, which she of course loved!

Getting creative with Legos is a favorite activity.
Hiking a beautiful nature trail we spotted as we were driving toward Flaming Gorge.

 Firefighter's Memorial Trail.

We didn't go all the way to the end, but what we did was really gorgeous!

 Snack break!
Devin's 1st lost tooth! He is the opposite of Elizabeth who wiggled her loose teeth constantly and pulled them out herself. Devin hated it to be touched and when it was hanging by a thread we had to convince him to let Tony pull it out!

If there's one thing we've learned about Devin is that he does things in his own time and on his own terms. Riding a bike was no different and this month he finally decided he would give it the determination it required to master peddling! He's gotten immeasurably better since these first videos, I'll have to take another one to show you.

Checking out the amazing Field House Museum over the Memorial Day weekend!

Sometimes ya just have to feel things with your face to really get the feel of them! ;)
This super fun walk through had a look and find, the kids had soooo much fun with it!

This is Dina, she's a Diplotocus and she is HUGE!

Devin was naturally drawn to the tv....he watched the entire video and could even tell us about it after!

As seen above Elizabeth learns by reading, and as seen below Devin learns by watching. Knowing this about my kids is invaluable to me!
 The dinosaur garden outside!

We ended the day having fun on the jumping pad at the KOA as well as their little mini golf course.

Devin's down for the count! :)

Having so much fun at the pool!
