Johnston Camp!

Friday Tony got off as early as he could manage and we loaded the Pilot up full!! We even had to use the car top carrier! Camp this year was at Trial Lake up in the Uintas. This is the first year we didn't do it over Labor Day weekend so we only had one full day...but we made the best of it!! Johnny and the older boys went fishing, Ketty and I took Melina and Elizabeth down to the lake to put there feet in the water, that was surprisingly warm! Which made it a bit harder than anticipated to get them out and back to camp before we burned up! There was lots of lounging in camp chairs and chit chat. Of course tons of GREAT food!! Friday night was a rough one, pretty much all around, but especially for us with little ones. Elizabeth couldn't keep warm so she was waking up every hour or so til about 4am. But both the kids slept very well Saturday night(thanks to some extra blankets and hand warmers in Liz's bed). Oh and I guess I must mention that we somehow plum forgot to bring the pack and play for Devin's bed. Luckily the tote Richard and Sandy keep the rubber boat in was just the right size for a makeshift crib! And Devin kept plenty warm! In fact he woke up both mornings sweating! He did great on his first camping trip, he's a real trooper!! It did of course have to rain on us Saturday night and Sunday morning, but we survived thanks to Rich and Sandy's new 5th wheel! Sunday we packed up and headed home. It was such a fun weekend and something we look forward to every year!
