Flu, Sitting, and a Football Weekend!!

So Monday our FHE was on the temple so we decided to go up to the Salt Lake Temple and have dinner at The Garden as we had a buy one get one coupon for my birthday! Elizabeth sang "I Love to See the Temple" all day long! It made me smile every time! And I had quite the surprise when I sat Devin down for 'sitting practice'...you see his pediatrician wanted him sitting up for AT LEAST 5-7 minutes by 7 months old(which he will be tomorrow)or she was going to prescribe some physical therapy to help him with some issues that he may have due to his "huge noggin", so I've been working really hard with him using some tips the pediatrician gave me, and Monday when I sat him up he stayed, and when he started leaning backward he caught himself, and pulled himself back straight!! He stayed sitting up for over ten minutes! I was ecstatic!! I'm so very proud of my little guy!! I knew he could this...I know he's one strong boy! And no ginormous head is going to hold him back!! And he's only done better since!! After Tony got home from work we headed up to the temple grounds and as we were getting ready to order a very yummy dinner Elizabeth told us she didn't feel good and that she didn't want to eat. She sat in my lap for a while, and told me she hurt all over, and that she was cold, but her body was hot. Tony took her and she fell asleep in his arms. So after dinner we just headed home and promised Elizabeth we'd bring her back another time. When we got home I took her temperature which was 102.7 so we gave her Motrin and put her to bed. She had a little flu bug til about Thursday, it was so sad to see her feeling so yucky, and she didn't eat hardly anything all week(and I've been too scared to weigh her so I don't know how this has affected her weight). But she's right as rain now and I'm so glad!! Wednesday after much cleaning of the living and dining rooms, after dinner we broke out the Halloween decorations and we decorated the house! Elizabeth insisted that morning on wearing her Halloween shirt and after resisting for a while I decided to just give in and let her wear it and put Devin in a pumpkin outfit as well, so the kids were dressed for the occasion! Friday Tony got off early, picked up our nephew Landen on his way and we packed up the car and drove to Provo to meet up with both our parents in their trailers. Friday evening we went to the BYU vs USU football game with Tony's parents and Landen, my parents kindly watched the kiddos for us. Elizabeth and I sported our lovely Aggie game day shirts, while Tony and Devin were in their BYU best! It was a GREAT game! The Aggie's had a lot of good things going for them, and for most of the game it looked like they had the win in the bag! But in the 4th quarter the Cougars found their groove and pulled out the win in a fantastic last minute!! I was so proud of my Aggies...but glad the Cougars FINALLY got some things together! Saturday we had a pancake breakfast in my parent's motorhome and watched conference...well what the kids would let us hear ;) Then after the first session, my dad went with us to the BYU Bookstore where we found a BYU cap that looks alot like a helmet for Devin(for his Halloween costume) we also found a very cute bow to go with Elizabeth's cheerleader outfit. We also scored in their bargain book section!! We got the Disney Storybook Collection, Scary Edition(which is only scary to Disney standard which is perfect for Elizabeth scaredy cat during this Halloween season!) We also got the princess storybook collection, both for $8 each!! :D We also found a pin we HAD to get for Elizabeth that says "I watch BYU with my daddy". Can we say PERFECT!! Overall it was a very good trip to the Bookstore!! Then we drove past the Provo Tabernacle/future temple on our way to Walmart to pick up a few things. After Conference we visited, then had yummy dutch oven sloppy joes for dinner, then we played a few games of Ticket to Ride with my parents and Landen. Then called it a day! Today we packed up and headed back home. And that's been our week...much better than last week!! Oh I just have to mention one thing that totally cracked everybody up! During dinner last night Elizabeth yelled out "Oscar(her imaginary friend) don't pick grapes off the applesauce tree!" Then of course Tony and his dad broke out in a song of 'green grapes growing on the apple sauce tree' in place of "popcorn popping on the apricot tree"! That little girl has such an expansive imagination!! And we LOVE it! Well here are some pictures from the last couple weeks, enjoy!!
