Last Thursday was the start of Taylorsville Dayzz and the dollar rides day so Tony got off work a bit early and we headed over. Elizabeth was big enough to ride all the kids rides this year, but she found some of them to be...well kind of dull really. It's hard for little carnival rides to measure up to the fun rides at Disneyland, but she still had lots of fun! We packed a picnic dinner which Elizabeth was excited about, she loves having picnics. There weren't really any lines so we whipped right through all our tickets faster than we thought we would, but it was actually kind of nice cause it was HOT!! We met up with Eric and Jen at the end and after Tony finished feeding baby Daniel his bottle we came back to our nice cool place to put our kids to bed and visit, and a we had a very nice long visit too! Friday we did our much needed grocery shopping, put the kids to bed and Tony and I had our "bedtime date night". Saturday morning we had family pictures done at JC Penny...and they turned out soooo cute! I'm so excited to get them next week!!(I'll try not to take so long getting them scanned in and posted this time) After lunch Tony and Elizabeth ran some errands, and that evening we went back to Taylorsville Dayzz and "listened" to some of the Niel Diamond Tribute. Eric and Jen joined us again, we got dinner there and it's safe to say Devin officially eats hot dogs now! I probably shouldn't be so excited about that...but I'll really take anything new at this point! After the concert was the fireworks extravaganza! I was surprised that Devin LOVED it! He's never sit so still in his life...nor focused on one thing for so long! He was totally entranced by it, and at one point there was a little break in them and he stood up and signed "more"!! Elizabeth still isn't a fan of the super loud ones, but she did enjoy watching them more this year. It was lots of fun!!
Here are the videos from Thursday that we took of Elizabeth on some rides!
This is a video of Elizabeth dancing during the concert
We were married in the Salt Lake Temple August 4th 2006, and have only grown closer and more in love since! We welcomed our first child, Elizabeth September 12th 2008, and our second, Devin March 3rd 2011. It's been quite the journey so far with plenty of ups and downs, but we grow stronger and closer as we continue in faith.
