Saturday was BUSY!! We got up and ready then went to Payless to get Elizabeth some church shoes but of course the first one we went to didn't have black only navy blue in the ones we liked so we had to go over to Shopko to get the black ones, and while we were there we picked up a cute outfit for Tony's cousin Robby and his wife who's baby shower was that afternoon. AND we got an extra $4 off Liz's shoes since they weren't in stock at the first store so they were only 8 bucks!! Score! Then we went to the Young Chevy car dealership for a trunk or treat to support the Davis School District(which is what Devin's preschool is in) It was fun! At one point while we were waiting in line Devin kinda yelled at a 1 1/2 maybe 2 year old little girl dressed adorably as Minnie Mouse, "HEY YOU!! I'M BATMAN!!!" He so LOVED being Batman!! I had to rein him in a bit...luckily I don't think she even knew he was screaming at her. ;) After that we stopped by Walmart to pick up a couple things we needed for the coming week, and let the kids get a fun Halloween lunchable for lunch. Which they ate upstairs while my parents watched them for us while Tony and I went to Desert Star(on our way we stopped by early to Tony's cousin's baby shower to drop off the gift and we had a great visit with Robby) to see Dracula, You're So Vein! Which was pretty good! Then on our way home my mom called to tell us Elizabeth was saying she didn't feel well again and that she did feel warm. When we got home I took her temp again luckily it was only 101 which normally I would give medicine for but she said she hurt all over so I gave her some for that. And she perked right back up! That evening Jen and Daniel came up for the Holbrook Halloween party, which was lots of fun! The kids were so cute in their costumes and had lots of fun playing together. My mom put together an amazing Halloween dinner which tasted just as good as it looked! The adults chatted while the kids played then when they were getting too rowdy we let them play the pin the wart on the witch game, then settled down to watch a Sesame Street Halloween show. Sunday Elizabeth wasn't feel well so we stayed home from church and cleaned house! We rearranged some bookcases and such in the living room and it functions much better now! And I love that all the books are back in there so they won't be all over the school room floor! We ended the day with family movie night and that was our busy week!
Trunk or Treat!
Halloween party!
The cousins in their costumes! Batman, Cleopatra and a cowboy!
Our kiddos in their awesome oh so cute costumes...I can't tell you how glad I am that Elizabeth didn't want to be Elsa!(though she did have a moment that she quickly got over once she saw this costume!) I love that her love of ancient Egypt surpasses her love of Frozen! And I think she's the most adorable Cleopatra EVER! As for Devin he doesn't even know who Batman is really, but he knows he's a good guy that saves people and I love that he chose someone who represents that! And I love how adorable he is in that costume!!
The decor and festive food!
Pin the wart on the witch!
