Mount Rushmore Day One!

This year I got to spend my birthday with my family visiting Mount Rushmore, which is somewhere I've always wanted to go! Lizzy has had her sights set on it for a couple years too, so she was very enthralled!
We stayed in this nice little cabin, and the kids had a impromptu photo shoot.

Elizabeth was thrilled to the bone to see this! Abraham Lincoln has been her favorite president for a couple years now. :)

At Mount Rushmore!

 Devin could NOT handle the sun in his eyes, Lizzy didn't do too great either. ;)

 They did get a little bored while we read some of the plaques. ;)

 This is what the sculptor had intended Mount Rushmore to look like when it was complete.

 Lizzy was just as happy and in awe here as she was in Disneyland!

Playing at the campground. After we got back from Mount Rushmore we took a short dip in the very cold pool, that didn't seem to phase Lizzy, she swam around like crazy! Then the kids played at the fun playground, then we did a round of mini golf! Devin took the mini golf VERY seriously! :)

For my birthday dinner we went into town and ate at a very nice restaurant called Ruby's, then we wandered all the fun gift shops! It was such a great birthday!!
