The Most Sincere Pumpkin Patch!

This past week was a good one!  We didn't have any medical appointments!!  Oh how rare that is...and so very nice!  Elizabeth's school lessons were on "F is for Families can be together Forever!"  We talked about how the Lord gave us temples so families could be sealed together forever(among other things), and the theme was hibernate, migrate and adapt.  Elizabeth really loved this week lessons!  In fact as we were going up to the Moran Eye Center to get Elizabeth's glasses readjusted she asked me "what city are we in?", I told her we were in Salt Lake City and she gasped excitedly and replied "this is the city with the Salt Lake temple where you and daddy were sealed so we can be a family forever!!!"  I told her she was very right! I was so proud!!  She also pointed out (many times) the birds in the sky, saying, "look their migrating!"  And she was so relieved that..."there are no more wasps out, they must be hibernating." Oh and I couldn't help bust up laughing when, as we were getting ready to go outside to play, she told me, "wait mom I need to put on my jacket so I can adapt to the weather!" Oh I love that little girl and I'm so glad she's having so much fun learning!
Friday evening we did our grocery shopping and stopped by Target and scored some fun Thomas the Train stuff from the dollar section for Devin!  Saturday morning we went up to Layton to the J&J Garden Center as they had a free tractor pulled hay ride to their milti-acre pumpkin patch where they let kids get a free pumpkin, all we had to do was print off the "ticket page" and bring a couple cans of food for the food bank!  It was the best!!  The hay ride was the perfect length and so much fun, Elizabeth was giggling nearly the whole time!  Devin was of course mortified.  When we finally got to the pumpkin patch Elizabeth couldn't believe how big it was, and how many pumpkins there were to pick from!  She had the time of her life finding "the biggest punkin!!"  After the pumpkin patch we got some lunch and went to my parents house(even though they were gone to Wendover with Tony's parents)to watch the BYU football game, after the game we stopped by my cousin Sarah's house to pick up some clothes and toys her boys don't need/want anymore for Devin, then went over to my grandparents house where my Aunt Susan treated us to dinner, then we visited for a bit before heading home.  It was a great day!
Yesterday after dinner we had movie night which Devin almost made it through before throwing up his dinner...twice, we got him and it all cleaned up about the time the movie got done then put the kids to bed, when Tony went to check on them he say that Devin had thrown up again, so I went up to help him, and as Tony was cleaning up his bed...he threw up one last time...ya know just for good measure!  Oh it was quite the  yucky night.  But he's better today and I'm so grateful!
