Disneyland Day 2 (February 5, 2017)

When we go to Disneyland we like to take the day after traveling off to rest and recoup. Normally it is because we have just driven all day and want the rest before the craziness of the parks. Sunday was that day for us. We had a reservation for a character dining at Storytellers Cafe, we did this so we did not have to waste any park time. It was the first time that we had eaten there and it was good, but we have decided that our favorite one so far would have to be Surf's Up with Mickey. We are glad that we did Storytellers because it has interested us in the past. We got to the Grand Californian early and that let us wander around a bit. The food was good and we enjoyed it. We notified them Lizzy had a Gluten Allergy and the chef came out to take her special order. It was cute seeing her from a far talking to him. She got her typical Mickey Waffle and loved it. Once we completed our meal we wandered around the hotel some more and then hit up more of Downtown Disney. The kids have never been over to the Disneyland Hotel and we wandered over there a bit as well. Sunday was just a take it easy kind of day and we had no other plans.  (I forgot to mention in the last post that the hotel we stayed at was the Howard Johnson. We like this hotel and this is our second time staying here. Nothing fancy but having the pool for the kids is nice.)
