They took a very sufficient amount of time going through and playing with their new toys, then we had breakfast, and put the kids in their new cute bunny day outfits(Elizabeth's was provided by my mom at Christmas ;) ) Then when they came out of Elizabeth's room they noticed a trail of Easter eggs, so of course they followed them...and they led them upstairs and out Nana and Papa's front door. And out front were sitting an amazing princess scooter(to replace her old breaking down one we got from the DI) for Elizabeth and the coolest trike EVER for Devin(and me I'll admit it). Tony pushed Devin and Elizabeth rode her scooter up the street and back, then we tweaked Devin's trike and went for a walk around the block with their new fun things.
After our walk we came back inside and they found their Bunny Day books! Then I got some pictures of them in their cute new outfits.
Then we let the kids have a Peep treat while watching a Bunny Day movie, and Tony helped my mom get ready for our Delicious lunch by making the cheesy potatoes and cooking the bunny rolls. Just before twelve I went out to the front yard and got ready for the egg hunt, as I was finishing up Eric and Jen showed up. I went and got the kids and they had a super fun egg hunt!
After the super fun egg hunt, we went inside and played for a bit until lunch was ready, then we enjoyed delicious ham, cheesy potatoes, carrots, rolls and deviled eggs....what a yummy lunch! Then my mom gave the kids their Bunny day gifts which were new sleeping bags for all our fun camping trips this summer! The kids got fun little wagons with some candy and a couple little toys as well and we got some money and lots of yummy treats!
Then after visiting and playing with new toys for a while we put Devin down for a much needed nap, then my parent's kindly kept an ear out for him while we took Elizabeth to the movie theater...for her first time! She's really been wanting to see The Croods, so we decided to take her. She did really good, and LOVED the movie, Tony and I liked the movie too it was really good! It was great to spend some alone time with our little Elizabeth. After we got home Devin was of course up so we went downstairs and got ready to dye eggs. Elizabeth was very excited to dye eggs this year, and even Devin had some fun with it! We did have a slight catastrophe, somehow the cup of pink dye got knocked over and spilled on Elizabeth and the floor beneath her, so we had to change her clothes and get her new clothes in the wash(no worries they came completely clean!) but all in all it was tons of fun!
At first Devin just wanted to play with Elmo and the new truck he got from his g-ma and g-pa Johnston, then he decided he was missing out on the fun.
And that was our super fun Bunny Day!!
