Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday didn't go quite as planned. Devin woke up congested and coughing, Elizabeth complained of a tummy ache and had some diarrhea, Tony was having tummy troubles of his own and I wasn't exactly feeling 100% myself so we opted not to go to church.  We did talk about how it was Easter Sunday, and by this point Elizabeth had the explanation down pat! We watched a Veggie Tales Easter Carol, and just emphasized that it was a day to reflect on our Savior and that he lived how we should live and died for us and more importantly was risen again giving us the blessing to live again happily together forever.  The kids didn't get to wear their new Sunday clothes but luckily we had pictures taken in them....and obviously they will get to wear them another Sunday so no biggie.  Tony cooked up a delicious brunch with springtime shaped pancakes, creamed eggs and cornbread and some scrambled eggs as well, it was a great Easter breakfast!  We took it upstairs and shared it with my parents, then just kept it low key, Devin took a good long nap, and Elizabeth even fell asleep during her quiet time.  We went back upstairs for dinner as we reheated the leftover ham and such from bunny day.  It was just as yummy the second time!  Then we went back downstairs, watched The Muppet Movie and put the kids to bed!  And that was our Easter.
I still haven't gotten around to scanning in their absolutely adorable Easter pictures but here's a snapshot of them all hung up on our wall, which will have to do for now.
