I've been a slacker and haven't posted on the previous week so here it is....it was a nice slow week, nothing super exciting. Monday we had dinner and FHE with my parents and a sister in the ward my dad home teaches....it was fun! She was so cute with our kids and they loved her! Tuesday evening was dance and tumbling, they've started working on their dance routine for "show" in June, Elizabeth is so excited to show everyone what she's been learning. Wednesday...nothing to report, Thursday evening was scouts which went well. Friday while we were out going for a walk I decided to wander a bit, and we ended up stumbling upon an amazing playground! I wish I would have packed lunch....ya know just in case, but they had lots of fun playing for a while. That's what I love about this area, there are parks and playgrounds everywhere!!! It's fantastic! When Tony got home we went grocery shopping then called it a night. School was super relaxed this week Elizabeth did ABCMouse.com and Jump Start on the computer, worked in her workbook, did lots of reading, but nothing real structured and it was good!
Saturday was Tony's big 30th birthday!!! He's not a fan of being the center of attention, or having a big fuss made for his sake...so I didn't, though I do love him so very VERY much, and am so blessed to have such a a wonderful husband and father to our children and wanted his special day to go just as he wanted it to however that was. He did get to go to both Lowe's and Home Depot and get stuff for indoor and outdoor projects to do this coming weekend, and picked up Madbrooks donuts and breakfast! We went to The Gateway and took the kids to Build A Bear, as they had a special Autism bear we just HAD to get for Devin, and they had a Rainbow Dash for Elizabeth, we even let them get a sound in them...Devin's bear giggles(it so adorable!), and Rainbow Dash sings the My Little Pony theme song. We also let Elizabeth pick out a little rainbow cape for her pony as well. Devin loves how soft his bear is so we didn't put clothes on him...we named him Austin the Autism bear, and Devin loves him! We wandered overpriced Dicks Sporting goods, then went to Bath and Body Works and they had a buy three get three free sale on pretty much everything, so I got 6 yummy smelling body washes...very happy girl! We got lunch at the food court then drove to Riverdale and Tony fulfilled a favor for his brother Matt while the kids napped, Elizabeth woke up and so Tony took her into a shoe store to look while Devin continued to sleep. Then Devin woke up so we went and looked around Sportmans Warehouse, where we found some good things for our camping trips this summer. Then we went over to Petsmart as we promised Elizabeth she could look at the animals. We ended up buying two beautiful Beta fish and a little split tank to put them in. We got a pinkish fish Elizabeth named Pinkie Pie, and a very pretty blue fish Devin calls fishy. ;) Then we went over to Gordmans and browsed and found some clearance clothes for Devin, no luck for Elizabeth. We did find nice outfits for Tony and I for family pictures...YAY! Devin found and HAD to have a stuffed Bubble Puppy(from the show Bubble Guppies on Nick Jr., if you don't know it consider yourself lucky) Elizabeth found a fun Ariel Lego set, we agreed to get for her to go with her other princess Lego sets. For Tony's birthday dinner her wanted to try out a BBQ place we pass when we go to Walmart called The Rib Shack. It was delicious!! And a very fun place to eat, they have "shack themed" rooms you can eat in...we ate in the surf shack! Oh and the kids each made Tony a birthday card and wished him happy birthday too! It wasn't anything too special but I hope he enjoyed his special day!
Sunday we put conference on the tv for the kids along with some fun things to keep them busy, we listened to conference while going through the front room again, and getting it organized and put together and we made GREAT progress! You can not only see but actually sit on the couch now! Next step is to do the same thing to our master bedroom...paint put pictures on the walls and we'll be done! We're waiting til it warms up a little more to paint. We were very happy with the progress. And conference was as it always is AMAZING!! And that was the week! A bonus post coming up! (ya know to make up for my slacking ;) )
I also slacked on picture taking so enjoy the few I took!
The kids playing dress up....Devin kinda got swallowed up!
