My parents usually do their Christmas party on Christmas Eve but because Jen had to work we did it the Sunday before, which worked out good for us actually. We started with the tradition southern meal of grits, ham, Texas toast and Jambalaya....and man was it goooooood! Then we attempted to get a picture of all three grandkids in front of my parents Christmas tree....that was no easy task! We snapped some pictures of us with Eric and Jen and of my parents then it was present time! We gave our gifts first. We gave Daniel a Laugh and Learn chair and a nursery rhyme book, we gave Eric and Jen an Olive Garden gift card and we gave my parents a new wireless weather station, all were very well received. Eric and Jen gave Devin a Mike the Knight klip klop track which he was very happy with, and they gave Elizabeth the Doc McStuffins set she's had her eye on and she was absolutely ecstatic!! They too gave us a restaurant gift card which was much appreciated! Then it was time for my parents to give their gifts, they got Devin two super cute outfits, one with a fire truck! They also got him his first toy fire truck!! They got Elizabeth a Dolly and Me matching outfits for her and her "American Girl" doll, she was very excited about that! They got the best reaction of the night(though I was unable to capture it on camera...bummer) when she opened the Palace Pets pet salon she's wanted so badly since her birthday! She was jumping up and down saying oh thank you thank you! And laughing with joy! She was sad though when we told her she had to wait for Daniel to go home before we'd get it out as it has lots of little pieces. My parents got me a beautiful bracelet with a purple puzzle piece(the puzzle piece is the symbol for Autism), I love it! They got Tony four new nice polo shirts which he was in desperate need of! It was a great party!!
This is a picture sequence of our attempt to get a picture of the grandkids...

Oh yes and how could I fail to mention that earlier that day Elizabeth lost her first tooth!! She pulled it out all by herself, showed it to Tony and said "look dad it came out!" She was so excited to get a visit from the tooth fairy(who left her a dollar!) and Santa all in the same week!
Presents from my parents!
We LOVE our new fun things!
