Saturday Chris and Kerri and a couple of their nieces came with is to Waterton Lakes National Park. They took us on a short hike to a beautiful waterfall. Devin wasn't exactly in the mood for lots of walking so Tony carried him almost the entire time...great work out for him! And on the way back Elizabeth was feeling tired too so Chris kindly offered to carry her on his shoulders, to give her feet a rest. After the hike we checked out Red Rock Canyon and the kids really enjoyed that! Then it was lunch time so we went and had the best hot dogs in town, and they were very good! We enjoyed the delicious poutine even more! Then we wandered some of the shops along the main street. Chris and Kerri even bought the kids a little tin of Thinking Putty at one of the stores, Elizabeth's glows purple in the dark and Devin's glows blue!! After wandering all the shops we wanted to look in we finally on our third visit to Waterton went up to The Prince of Whales Hotel! It's a magnificent hotel.....I mean absolutely gorgeous, the architecture is amazing! Heck EVERYTHING about it is amazing!! They also have a great gift shop where Tony found himself a new Canada ball cap, I found a couple of good magnets and the kids both fell in love with these stuffed Husky dogs that have the Canadian maple leaf on one paw, so we all came out with a souvenir, we went behind the hotel and drooled over the breathtaking views and got some great family photos thanks to Kerri! Then we followed Chris and Kerri to a lake that was too cold for Devin and Chris and Kerri's nieces, but nothing will stop our part fish Elizabeth from playing and swimming in the water! This is when we discovered our kids like dill pickle potato chips and a soft cookie treat called bear paws, as they ate their fill that evening! Tony eventually had to drag Elizabeth from the water when it was time to get going, but the promise of going to get ice cream really helped! She and Tony had Tiger ice cream(which is orange and black licorice) I had Rolo and so did Devin I do believe he didn't hardly have much of it but did seem to enjoy putting his tongue on it repeatedly. ;) We grabbed a light dinner on the way back to the Robert's house and then called it a day!

In this next picture you can see that Elizabeth's shorts are quite wet...that's because she attempted to ford the river at will and found herself in a deep spot...shortly after you'll see in a picture of her just climbing on ahead, no fear! Sure love our little adventurer!
No we she was not allowed to jump off...
