Sunday just our family drove up into Lethbridge and pretty much just spent the whole day shopping! We checked out Walmart, had lunch at A&W(which is way better up there!)they have some of the best poutine! Tony showed us where he lived when he was a missionary there. We checked out the Canadian Dollar Tree which I think should really be called a Loonie Tree as their dollar is a coin called a loonie...but I suppose Loonie Tree does sound pretty bad. ;) We did find some fun Canadian flags for the kids there though! We of course had to wander the Real Canadian Superstore, where we got the kids lots of super cute Joe clothes, and I even found some cute things on clearance! We got doughnuts from Tim Horton's and yummy slurpees for snack, and then went back and bought lots and lots of Canadian chocolate and goodies from Walmart(we also scored lots of clearance clothes for the kids there!). We had dinner at Tony Roma's then drove back to the Robert's house to call it a day.(We went to other stores in there too but I can't remember the names of them all) Monday morning we got up, packed up the van and drove home stopping only a few times for potty/stretch breaks, lunch and dinner. It took us about 13 hours to get home with stops (and a minor detour thanks to a bridge being out) it was a super long drive but we were so impressed with how awesome the kids handled it! Next time though we're definitely driving up in one day and back down in two...for our sake. It was such a fantastic trip and though we all wished we could have stayed longer(or indefinitely) we really enjoyed our time in Alberta and with our great friends the Roberts! We already can't wait until the next time we go back up to Canada!
Sorry no pics :/
