Calgary Tower and Stephen Ave
We originally planned to this(go to the Tower and mall shopping)tomorrow but it just worked out better to do it today as we got kind of a late start(someone was up late last night blogging and had a really really hard time getting up this morning) My mom got online and made an resercation for lunch at Sky 360 in the Calgary Tower then we got ready and on our way. Parking anywhere remotely close to the tower is really expensive, but we managed to find a relatively inexpensive place to park. Oh and the parking stalls here are extremely narrow so parking is always an adventure! The tower was absolutely amazing! The views were incredible!! There was a small part of the observation deck that had a glass floor, it totally messed with your mind but if you could handle it, it was really cool! (At least I thought so..but I have very little fear of heights) Tony braved it a couple times, my dad was fine on it, and Devin didn't know the difference really. Elizabeth...didn't mind the height but when your eyes have as many issues as hers do, she struggled, it's hard to get your mind to wrap around what's going on. She enjoyed it though. My mom wouldn't go anywhere near it! After having our fill of the observation deck it was almost our reservation time so we went to the restaurant. It was way cool!! It rotated 360 degrees every 45 minutes so the beautiful panoramic views were always changing. The food was really good there as well! Then we went out to Stephen Avenue where there is like a walking mall and three big malls all connected. We wandered it for a while finding some good things here and there, then we headed home for dinner which Devin was in a really good mood during, he was laughing like crazy at just about anything!! Then we finished watching Rio and called it a day!
