Heritage Park
Today we went to Heritage park, we were going to go yesterday but we weren't 100% sure it was open, and today they had a HUGE farmers market going on where we got lots of good looking fresh fruits and veggies! Then we started exploring the old restored houses from the early 1900's and other town buildings as well. After lunch we caught the train! Elizabeth was SUPER excited about this and waited with great anticipation for the train to come...and once on the train she kept saying "all aboard...the choo choo train!!" And every time the whistle blew she'd say "chugga chugga choo choo!" She waved to everyone, and even made a friend! After the train ride we went to the amusement part of the park, where she had THE BEST TIME on the "boat swings" they had there, we were there for quite a while...we only got her out when we told her we could go find a little roller coaster. Which we did it was called the Caterpillar, and it was a really fun ride, after a couple times around the circle this green tent...canopy thing closed over us and the ride sped up! Like I said LOTS of fun, Elizabeth and I were laughing the whole time! Tony took her on the carousel to ride a horse which she as always LOVED! We had to make another stop at the "boat swings" before we left to go to the old fashioned candy store where Elizabeth got a little bag of treats a couple of which were the Canadian maple leaf gummies...so cute! As we wandered back toward the entrance I picked up some cotton candy and my mom snagged some popcorn! We wandered some of the shops then headed back to the motorhome. What a fun day today was!!
